That's great and all...but how does one explain the many defeats ? They can't all be due to poor fielding,hitting and managing can they ?

Uhh, Mizzou finished 1964 with an ERA below 1.0. 0.65 to be exact so it has happened and in a bigger fashion. It is more common than you think

3rd nationally in ERA, have both good fielding and batting. Still not the best team in the SEC this year.

Our pitching has only lost us 5 games at the most this year. 8 runs was the most they've given up all season before that last game
