Big 3 NC Since 1990

FSU - 3 Football NC
Clemson - 2 Football NC
Miami - 2 Football NC

South Carolina - 2 Baseball NC
Miami - 2 Baseball NC
UVA - 1 Baseball NC

Duke - 5 Basketball NC
UNC - 4 Basketball NC
UVA - 1 Basketball NC

If those teams are losers, what does that make Missouri & Texas A&M?

Of course the UTrans fan boy calls for Mizzou to be out. So familiar… these losers think they can call shots in the SEC 1 year in. This is what they do. They’ll be lucky to make it 13 years without being kicked out because they think they should run shite & they can’t. Frick you!

Okie State deserves consideration. They are good in most sports and will add another great rivalry.

We're going to take the ACC approach and bring in the University of Guam and Maine

Big 3 NC Since 1990

That's almost 40 years ago. In the last 20 years South Carolina and Vanderbilt have more titles in those sports than Clemson, Miami, and Florida State.

Yea, but that is when they joined the SEC.. to get away from all those “losers”..

That’s a lot of NC individually and combined.. In fact, there are 2 teams in this conference that haven’t won a NC in the Big 3 since way before 1990..

We should NEVER and I mean NEVER let that Berkley East school in our conference. They blow arse at sports and would try to force wacky left-wing bullshite on the rest of the conference.

Tulane no, Tech maybe.

FSU and Clemson are most likely and would be the best fits. If the SEC expands to 20+ teams (which you know we’ll get there eventually as the B1G expands in that direction), it’ll include FSU, Clemson, GT, Miami, VT, and NC State. I feel like UNC, Duke, and Virginia would lean toward the B1G. They’re basketball schools with more in common with the B1G than the SEC.

Wouldn’t put it past the SEC to consider Kansas or TTU. Okie State might be considered but I don’t think the conference wants a Plains version of Miss State.

No to all of them. Let's stop right where we are and leave it at 16. We don't need any more teams.

I agree, but the ACC will be next up on the chopping block, and both the B1G and SEC will pick it apart. B1G will take Boston College, UVA, UNC, and the North Carolina version of Northwestern (Duke), and might consider the other city schools with better academics like Pitt and Syracuse.

SEC will poach the rest of the big names. XII will get the scraps, like Louisville and Wake Forest.

Bookmark it- that’s what’s going to happen. The ACC can’t survive anymore.

I say we let the B1G take all the schools they want and we hold at 16. It's already a watered-down league. Let them water it down some more.

Out of all 18 teams in the B1G, they only have 3 that are worth a shite. Now, those 3 teams are pretty good but under that it's a class of Conference USA level programs.

Trade FSU for UNC and honor traditional rivalries or no deal.

It depends...

From a "culture fit" I'd say Clemson, FSU and Virginia Tech make the most sense.

From a TV revenue stand point, if you're looking primarily at eye balls, probably FSU, Clemson, UNC and possibly Miami are the biggest national draws and have the strongest national brands. If you want to expand to new markets then UNC and one of the Virginia schools are the most logical choices since we already have a large share of Florida and South Carolina in our footprint.

If you're focusing on overall, historical athletic success, I'd say FSU, UNC, Clemson and Miami are the best options.

With all of that in mind, I'd say the best four candidates would be UNC, FSU, Clemson and one of the Virginia schools.

I'd be down to kick out OU if it meant the system goes back to how the conferences were in the 2000s.

Seeing how that's impossible, I think if expansion has to happen, you look at the southern ACC schools. Please not Miami.

I don't think anyone in the western half of the conference's footprint (meaning the Big 12 states) is worth adding now that OU and Texas are in. Oklahoma State would be fun for Okies (and they'd fit in fairly well) but they're simply not worth adding at all unless you want another Mississippi State-esque school.

Per Peek Around The Corner, the UNC/UVA duo are a strong selection. The others vary on what could happen.
I think NC St. is pretty much off the list now.
Not much has been said about VT, so unsure where they stand.

Kansas has also been mentioned, but others have said only ACC (no XII),

If good SEC fit is all you want then Oklahoma State. But they are more like a Miss State on revenue, maybe a tad more?

Not a matter of whether it will happen anymore because it will happen again, eventually.

There’s different camps that say it’ll happen soon while others say ~2030 & cheaper.
I, personally, think it’ll be a mixture of both with a soon to be made announcement of “We’re adding _____ schools in the 2031 season”.
(If that hasn’t already been decided, just not released yet.)
