My guess is that Bama is 9, ND 10, BYU 11 and Texas is 12.

If Bama loses and BYU loses, Texas gets in.

If Bama wins, Texas would be out. If BYU wins Texas is out. Would really need to start looking at other scenarios with what happens in the other title games, but looking at the shifting odds, the only way it works is if Texas is 12 or so.

No one is melting because y’all ain’t going to the playoffs. You’re going to some worthless bowl game like the Pop Tarts or Snoop Dog bowl.

Texas will never get in as a 12 because you've got auto bids for the ACC plus the G5 rep.

Bama has to lose badly in Atlanta to get bounced. They beat UGA the first time so it's going to cancel out plus the committee will be reluctant to punish them. Also, it's fricking Bama.

The SEC is definitely getting 4. Barring a bad Bama loss, those 4 will be UGA, Bama, A&M and Ole Miss. Oklahoma is a bubble team and gets in only if the SEC gets 5 spots. It is unlikely the SEC gets 6 spots unless BYU loses and Virginia wins. If Duke wins, the committee will be tempted to bring in Miami. I may be wrong but I think they are more likely to screw Miami if they have an 11-2 Virginia as the ACC auto bid.

Is it likely Miami gets in? No, but you know Notre Dame is getting in and that Miami win over ND is something the committee is going to struggle with. Put a 5 loss Duke team in the CFP and the committee starts thinking Miami might be a better look than adding yet another SEC team.

The Ags will go full Jonestown when we get in and they get bounced in round 1.

Uh, Isn't it a bit early for low IQ drunk posting? There is a < 1% chance 9 and 3 horn with 2 bad wins - UK and Miss State, gets into the playoffs. Everyone knows this but you.

If Texas is ranked 12 tonight, after the title games then there is a good chance that they would then move to 10. Then 11 would be Miami (?) then the G5.

It is not a huge surprise that this type of scenario would be at least plausible.

Now, for this to happen, you would probably need to see Texas jump Vandy (Utah and Michigan would be easy, Miami is questionable, but OK) based on head-to-head and both having 2 conference losses.

Texas beat Oklahoma but Oklahoma beat Bama and Bama beat UGA so now you understand the predicament the committee has.

There are no easy answers and someone is definitely getting screwed in the end. Committee is also going to grapple of the optics of what it will look like if they give 5 or more bids to the SEC and limit the ACC and Big 12 to one each. They'll certainly sleep easier if BYU gets smoked by Texas Tech, which is likely since BYU barely had a pulse in the first game.

Regardless, Miami is getting a hard look. Will be very interesting to see if either Vandy and/or Texas jump Miami tonight. Miami has played well their last 4 games.

The two loss teams who were more deserving. You lost to Florida, own that shite

Dumb post. It’s very simple pal, Texas beat OU and Aggies who are still ranked above them. Now, go square that ok.

If you’re not going to value head to head then all this is Bullshite.

No one I guarantee, would want to play Texas right now. Manning is coming into his own. They are playing inspired football.

I don’t have any great love for Texas, but they are SEC brethren and showed up every week to play in the toughest conference.

Who the hell did Indiana,Ohio State play every week. I’ll tell you, our weakest conference brethren Miss St and Kentucky would have given them a tough time.

Good Luck tonight Horns!

I hope Texas gets in. They are in my book a top 10 team

You could have just stopped there, because the loss to Florida is keeping them out. Not sure why the both of you lost to inferior teams.
