When Saban retires..blah..blah..blah

I often hear fans of other SEC Schools declare, "When Saban retires, Alabama will be mediocre again".
There's an ounce of truth to that..no doubt. When Coach Saban hangs it up, I'm sure Bama will slip a little. It's foolish to think otherwise.
That's good news for Auburn, LSU, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida and every SEC schools fans.
But here's the bad news...it won't last...it never has!
The facts are these...and if you're being honest with yourself...they're indisputably.
Alabama is Alabama. ..They built this league, they are Southern football and over time they've proven it time and time again.
Alabama was winning championships in the 20's, 30's and 40's. They dominated the 60's and 70's. They won a championship in the 90's and have dominated College football AGAIN for the last 10 years.
Is history an indicator of the future? ..
When it comes to Alabama Football and the SEC..the answer seems to be YES.
So to all my SEC brethren... don't get your hopes
up that when Saban retires, the Crimson Tide will fade away into oblivion. .
Your great grandpa thought that when Wallace Wade left, your granddaddy thought that when Frank Thomas retired. Your Dad was giddy when Coach Bryant died.
Don't repeat their mistake..
The Alabama Crimson Tide isn't going anywhere..at least not for long..

Perhaps you could get someone to read to your ignorant arse about how the entire South celebrated the Alabama victory in the 1926 Rose Bowl. It was deemed a championship by all.

It will be enlightening to see how you react to going 13 years between SEC Championships again. Or winning one NC in three decades. And suffering through multiple seasons of 7 or more losses.
Because that's what history indicates Bama football will be like when Saban finally hangs it up.

That's not really true. There were no playoffs, but various publications had polls. In the 1920s The Rose Bowl Champions were considered by many to be national champions.

Hmmm..Only if Alabama lets Jay Jacobs hire their next coach..
But theres no doubt Ears was awful, Perkins was 2-2 against your beloved tiggers, and Dubose..as bad as he was,managed 2-2 and an SEC Championship..
Heck..even Bill Curry managed to win the SEC at Alabama...lol
