Do like Saban and play both, especially if Fitz ain't doing anything in a game like at Kentucky.
Exactly. Clemson is another example. Just named Lawrence starter after splitting time the first 4 weeks.
I'm afraid it's a little too late to start this since you're about to get into the meat of your schedule. Big missed opportunity for Moorehead. Could be jeopardizing the most talented State team in recent memory.

KT is your better chance to win today and tomorrow. Fiitz is too limited and is simply not a good fit in this offense.
This simply isn't true. Fitz can make throws that KT can't make, as crazy as it sounds. He has a strong arm, and will sometimes hit receivers right in the numbers down field. KT is limited to a shorter passing game for the most part.

Fitzgerald is way too one dimensional and obviously has maturity issues. It kind of speaks to the kind of leader JoMo is that he was just automatically given back his starting job after being suspended for the opener. Low character coach = low character, undisciplined team. Look no farther then Jimbo coddling Jameis to see how this mindset can tear down a program.
Hopefully JoMo is too dumb or stubborn to make the change before the LSU game. Either way, LSU wins, but KT will pose a much greater challenge.
Where are you Fitzgerald defenders at?
It's not your fault. You're too close to the situation as it actually is. He's simply not good. You're going to be lucky to make a bowl game if JoMo doesn't make the change.

Is this going to happen?
Fitzgerald just can't throw well enough to win games for you guys.

He's as bad of a passer and as dumb as Fitzgerald?
I guess Mullen just wanted Tebow clones at QB. Strong runners, limited passers, and IQ's close to that of a golden retriever.

KT is no better.
There is no way this is true.
Not only is Fitzgerald an awful quarterback, he's also seemingly extremely low character.
I wonder where all the State fans who defended Fitz in here are today.

should have been about 5 quarters ago. Said they will announce any changes tomorrow. Fitzgerald is awful

You don’t bench heisman candidates

Why is there always a rantard that comes over who rarely posts but starts blaring where's so-n-so or starts false narratives?
If anybody defended Fitz it wasn't because of his drop back throwing skills. It was because he could use his running to make the occasional throw.

Is it expected?
I really hope he still starts by the LSU Game.

Had this conversation earlier today. "you can't get any worse than Fitz."
me: "yeah you could throw interceptions"
KT gives a higher win probability from running the ball... but he's a terrible passer.

I mean, so is Fitz. Is KT that much worse at throwing it?

I'm not sure why this would surprise anyone. We went from Chris Relf to a stint of Tyler Russell getting benched by Dak Prescott to Nick Fitzgerald.

He threw for about a 40% completion rate against Stephen F. Austin, and the rumor is he doesn't understand the offense. I think he has more upside and throws a more catchable ball, but Fitz is probably better now.
Honestly, as big of a problem the Quarterback situation it's not our only problem. Our backs have averaged 12 carries in SEC play, while Fitz has averaged around 20. Take away sacks and scrambles and we're probably averaging less than 25 designed runs per game. Our offensive line is getting blown out while pass blocking, and we can't seem to get a snap off without taking 30 seconds of time.
Our offense as a whole is not adapting to Moorhead's system, or rather Moorhead is not adapting his system to our personnel. Our defense is honestly pretty stout, but the last two games they've given up late in the game because of how long they've been on the field.

Please notice I started this thread LAST Monday after the Kentucky game.

KT 2 Starts complete games
Louisville 11/27 40% (Taxslayer Bowl)
SF Austin 13/31 41%
Fitz 2018 52/106 49%
The both suck at throwing the ball

It’s still very jarring to see Fitz like this to be honest, he got a lot of hype in the offseason just to watch it all crumble in two-three weeks. Tough break for the guy.

Huh? I've been worried about Fitzgerald getting it done all year. I started this thread last week. And I voiced concern after week 1 that Fitzgerald was just automatically given back the starting job after Thompson lit it up in the opener. In that thread, I was basically told Fitzgerald was better at everything and I should just sit down and shut up.
Well, in retrospect, I wonder if Fitz just walking back into the starting job after his suspension might have been the start of the internal issues that seem to be popping up now. How can your starting QB get suspended in the offseason, and just be given his job back after his replacement goes for 364 passing yards, 109 rushing yards and 7 TDs?
That doesn't seem like very strong leadership on JoMo's part.
