He was never that good. Mullen was just good at masking his deficiencies and he caught a lot of breaks.

Truth be told. It was the “impressive” win against LSU that started this whole “Mississippi State hype train”. The problem was, that win was actually not impressive at all. We were playing 3rd string freshmen on both lines. Vandy would have beaten us at that time.

It doesn't really matter whose playing QB when the O line and receivers don't know the play or how to execute it. 51 doesn't block anyone and 7 has no idea there is a football game being played
