That would lower capacity in pretty much every stadium

And?

TV revenue has now surpassed gate receipts at the majority of SEC and BIG
schools and the more the gap widens (which it will) the more the schools will invest in the game day experience.

Bleacher seating is ridiculous with the
amount of revenue generated by SEC and BIG schools.

I attended 4 UGA games in pro stadiums compared to 1 in Athens and the game day experience/amenities were FAR superior in the pro stadiums and obviously included individual seating.

The in game experience needs to adapt before a primary revenue stream takes a significant decline.

Price of a ticket will go up. SEC fans usually don't care though. Unless you are from Mississippi.

I think everyone will slowly convert a portion to chairback.
The bleachers will never completely go away.

I think everyone still wants that 80K+, 85K+ or 90K+ number for 2 or 3 games a year.

As UT keeps adding party decks and watch experiences at the stadium, they could reach !25,000.....depends on if you only count seated people or people in the stadium...

Seated people, NO
People in the stadium, possible

After going to a game at Gillette Stadium to see State play UMASS in 2016 where all the seats are chair backs, I am on board with this sooner rather than later.

You mention this after six years and think this is sooner rather than later?

When the scrap yards start paying as much for aluminum as copper and the crack head and meth heads find out about it.

Bleacher seats aren't that much better than bucket seats in many cases. They're still greedy and the width is too narrow. Bucket seats just prevent people from cramming in an extra 2-3 people in a row or some 400lbs fatty 15 seats down from affecting you.

Sat in Truist park with people on the other side and there isn't close to enough shoulder room despite new + bucket seats.

The party deck decreased the capacity. It's just a money grab.

Please call AU AD and tell him you need the job of Gameday Experience Czar.

We’ve got a TV you can watch from the moon, but we need to get rid of most bleacher seats.

Georgia sells out every home game so it’s hard to see how the numbers could have gone down. Also Georgia travels extremely well. Usually completely takes over opponents stadiums

Sure but overall numbers are down in D1
(P5) included.UGA is arguably going through the greatest 6 year run in history so the numbers are obviously strong.

I will say the game day experience has improved under Brooks but it couldn't have gotten much worse under McGarity and we still have a ways to go.

I read that all our home games have been sell outs for years. We have definitely improved the game day experience. The only complaint those of us over 50 have is the music. Not a fan of this noise the young people call music. But if it gets our crowd and players revved up I’ll tolerate it but I might buy some ear plugs

Generations are dying off who filled these stadiums.

In 50 years, many of the multigenerational families will not have tickets.

So many more entertainment and viewing options now to make choices harder.

At 14-0 following a NC, I’m not sure I can draw a straight line ascending forever on attendance. Attending a game is fun, but the price is a weekend for anyone who lives more than a few hours away. Double income families with kids may have the money, but their time is limited. People without serious cash can’t attend. Uber wealthy May rather go to Europe for a couple of weeks in the fall now and then.

I’m not saying “nobody will attend,” I’m just saying there may need to be some improvements and marketing to keep those crowds at 87,451 and higher.
