Hogs should be 4-0 at that point and playing with confidence. An upset is possible.

They won't fall off.
He'll have a stronger showing this season than last.

Manziel was supposed to get hurt against LSU and Bama last year, too.
If he gets hurt, it will be something like a knee giving out on a sharp cut. Not because LSU and Bama hit so much harder than everyone else.

Dunno if they do while he is at A&M, but if he doesn't get his temper under control, he'll regret it. Agreed that Sumlin looked like he wanted to rage on JM yesterday.
Do you think Manziel realizes how bad he looks to NFL teams when he acts like that?

Best thing that could happen to JFF is if Sumlin sat him on the bench for Sam Houston.
It would send a very clear message that he isn't bigger than the program and would give the backup much needed reps against what should be an easy win. I'd go so far as say bench him for a series or two against us to ensure the message sticks.
No, I don't think it will happen but I honestly think that's what both JFF and A&M needs right now.

The guys is obviously a jerk/a-hole; exactly the kind of play I don't enjoy watching in any sport. Karma has a way of catching up with people like JFF and considering his size, if he keeps running for extra yardage from the QB position in the SEC, it will likely catch up with him sooner than later.

He probably doesn't, but it will hurt him in the draft.

This would be the best thing for Bama for sure.

Bama gets their shot first then he will find out how Tiger stadium feels like.
He's riding the bull in style. But the riding ain't the problem, getting off is.

Beating the snot out of Rice and he still let them et under is skin. Wait till he has serious competition and the stress level goes up. He may just self destruct in the middle of SEC play

Ain't gonna happen, he's more empowered after this autograph thing than he's ever been. At least it won't happen while he is at A&M, he's bigger than the program and he knows it.

You're exactly right about Manziel's temper.
Here's thing... after reading a lot about the family he seems to grown up without ever being disciplined. That causes huge problems for anyone to deal with and being a QB in the SEC and getting away with so much stuff it's not even funny only adds to his problems. He's been taught from an early age 'do whatever you want' and now following even the simplest rules are hard for him.
I think he came in broken and it looks like he'll leave that way and that's a really sad thing in many ways. There's more going on with his behavior than simply being undisciplined, imo.
If I were his shrink I'd first get him sober and then see if his behavior is the same. If it is then I'd be looking real hard at bipolar disorder which can cause every bit of the foolishness and hot temper we've seen from him. As well as other possible causes to eliminate or confirm.

We don't have a great option at backup, so unless Manziel is just completely belligerent, you can't bench him if you're Sumlin.
Huh? I know it was just Rice, but I thought Joeckel looked pretty good...certainly good enough to handle Sam Houston if Sumlin wanted to make a statement, by benching Manziel for a game.
