It will just prove that the whole 12-team playoff was a failure right out of the gate and should be reworked over the offseason to save the sport.

Whoever wins the playoff, regardless of if their path is "easy" or not, will have proven themselves in my opinion.

I think Bama would get 'boat-raced' by Georgia State....afterall they beat Vandy and the 6-6 Commodores curb-stomped Bama. JMO

I’d disagree but only because I don’t think they could put together that many wins in a row simply because of Milroe’s inconsistency or a given team’s ability to game plan him.

If BAMA could win the NC would be truly amazing……but it is all about momentum and with so many teams and no distinct front runner…..then why not? I approve this message.

Oregon, Tennessee, Georgia, Texas, Penn State, maybe Notre Dame and Ohio State
The idea of a 3-loss team that lost to Vandy and Oklahoma and ranks near the bottom of the SEC in rush defense having as good a shot as anyone else is the epitome of desperation and delusion.

There isn’t a team in the top 10 Bama could beat right now and I wouldn’t bet on them beating any of the currently ranked teams.
