Maybe they enjoy playing baseball.
Those kids don’t even know where UCLA will play baseball next season. The property where their stadium is located is owned by the VA.
They didn’t even have access to the field this past fall. VA locked the gates.

they are playing a kids game, they are having fun and soaking up every bit of Omaha. For many this will be the biggest stage they play the game they love on.
you have to remember that many of these kids have been playing the game since they were 4 or 5. hours upon hours put into training since they were little and for many this is the dream. Many kids dream of playing there more than anything else.

Enjoying the moment and all that, this is the greatest height they've reached in a lifetime of baseball as individuals. On top of that, a wise man once told me at work "fake it til you make it" when it comes to working day in and day out and staying happy and content at the grind. If you force yourself to be happy and smiling even at a dead end job you hate, eventually it'll become reality
