Typical Mingione BS
I also liked how all the UK runners on 1B were flailing their arm at the pitcher to distract them
UK is a pesky annoying team with all their cute little tricks
That's not gonna win you the important series
Let's see where they end up with their upcoming schedule
UK had a couple of ball counts because they went over allotted time and than this pitcher tried to quick pitch several guys which Jones took exception to
Not to mention the number of times they walked Crews that ended up backfiring and hitting numerous batters during the three game series

Oh, he saw him...and what pray tell are you incinuating? Do you really think Jared Jones wouldn't go all Alpha Tiger on that weasel from Kentucky? He ain't scared!

Class is something that sports has lost. I guess the more you show your arse the more NIL money you get or something. Its from the major leagues down to little league. A batter can't hit a home run without saying something, flipping his bat or watching the ball. Bunch of children.

This is pure, unadulterated projection. I just pointed out how similar the two teams are. Don't get upset because I'm right.

Jones is a 18 year old freshman playing in the toughest conference in the country, in the rubber game against a top flight team. At his previous at bat, he was called out on a very close pitch & was pissed, so he was obviously jacked his next at bat. Then quick pitched, with a subsequent HR. He's no robot, he reacted like any 18 year old competitor.

Not implying anything other than I enjoy a scuffle and wanted the pitcher to see him calling him a f'ing pewsy.

Absolutely nothing wrong with taking shite if you can back it up.
And LSU baseball team can back it up.

Pitcher was busy watching a rocket fly over the wall. But Jones was still talking when he rounded 1st

Second, what "other bush league shite"? I'm curious as to what is apparently bush league at Alex Box but is apparently ok anywhere else in the conference and hasn't been an issue.

a million mound visits, pulling pitchers with a 3-0 count, playing small ball down 10 runs, intentionally walking Crews 427 times including the first inning of a game, the quick pitching that has already been mentioned.

It basically felt like watching a Dave Serrano coached UCI team from the late 00s. It's not enjoyable baseball to watch and, quite frankly, just obnoxious. Just a whole lot of superfluous bullshite instead of just playing baseball

I mean, he utilized his pen against the #1 team in the country. I’d be pissed if he wasn’t switching out pitchers.

The small ball comment is hilarious given it kept them in 2 out of 3 games.

You’re going to see that out of more than us, bud. He’s arguably the best player in the country.

I’ll give you that to a degree.

You think switching pitchers in a 3-0 count is normal or had any real strategy behind it except trying to annoy LSU hitters?

I said playing small ball when he was down 10 runs. Kentucky wasn't down 10 runs in the games they almost won. What he was doing was trying to avoid a run rule to make LSU use more pitchers, while ignoring that he would also have to use more pitchers doing that. There was no trying to win that game playing small ball in the late innings down double digits. Most coaches would try to get out of the game to conserve pitching for the weekend. That or actually try something to score runs in bunches instead of giving away outs for a single run.

We've played more than Kentucky. Intentionally walking anyone in the 1st inning is not only stupid but hilarious. Something else that was dumb is he had a massive shift on Crews all weekend (who hits opposite field way more than he pulls the ball) but not on our actual dead pull hitters.

If he didn’t see him, I bet he heard him. Looked like he was roaring.

When he rounded first he looked at the pitcher and called him a “Fn bitch”…. And the pitcher seen that one.

It sounds like he was utilizing a strategy to try to win the series.

Which he came very close to doing.
