Always are. Their hires usually come out of left field.

I used to mock teams who used these firms, like Mizzou has, but after seeing Tennessee conduct the most public embarrassing search of all time, I understand why Arky is using not one, but TWO!

They're working on making a solid hire. They tend to avoid the shite show other schools go through

I think it's time boosters demand that ADs get fired if they are using firms to find head coaches. It's a waste of money. If your university general counsel can't do the vetting and if your AD can't evaluate talent and coaching ability, then they all need to get fired. It's just a waste of money.

I think we are all aware that we won't know jack shite til after the games Saturday. Most of us are confident our coach is playing in one of them, whomever he may be.

They have their man. He's coaching this weekend in one of what? 10 conference championship games?

Whoever it is it's probably a done deal. Look for a solid hire like Miss. St. Not shoot for the moon and miss like Tennessee.

I think we pretty much have one of our targets on lockdown but have to wait until after this Saturday's games to announce.

It is amazing watching how stealthy we are vs. Tennessee letting every coach they go after know that they are their 12th choice.

The intelligent approach is to identify your top 3, have some early contact.. then let a firm who has a non disclosure contract with you, vet the process.

And that his how it is done. Identified, Contact, Vetting, Hiring....

Steps 1-3 done.

Arkansas is showing that not having an AD is better than having Currie as your AD

If we don't hear from Gus on his decision before Saturday he'll meet with Arkansas on Sunday morning and we'll have a new coach Sunday night whether it's Gus or not.

We are throwing pallets into our dumpster. The match will be lit at a later date.
