Texas Rangers, 2011 World Series. 1 pitch away, twice.

shite.
4th and 25 sucked.
10-7 sucked too. LSU ran the ball about 75 straight times for one yard per carry and then SHAZAM . . . tight end dump TD pass.

When I was a little kid the bowl game loss to Notre Dame killed me. One, my entire family hated to Notre Dame. Two, as a little kid Bear an Bama were almost mythical in their invincibility when you're not even 10 years old.
Professionally, the "Sea of Hands" game when the Raiders (led by a Bama boy, no less!) beat the Dolphins. Again, when you're only 10 years old, the early 70s Dolphins just led you to believe they were never going to lose.

Meh, you know y'all would've screwed it up against Notre Dame somehow.

Auburn was better but it still suks
I don't necessarily believe that, I still think the coaching staff had a piss poor game plan.
That one stings the most for me as well, Mizzou wins that game and goes to the NC, and everything changes.
Instead we've regressed back to same 'ol Mizzou status.

Wouldn't Michigan state have gone?

What about 07? OU wasn't THAT much better and y'all probably would've smashed Ohio State in the title game.

I've been fortunate in this regard. 96 FSU sucked but it ended up not mattering.

Yeah, that's another one. The coaches made zero adjustments at halftime and OU boat raced us in the second half.
However, that team didn't have much depth, and OU took advantage.
2013 defense was skrong, and the offense was efficient. Much better combo.

I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum on this one.
That shite was insanely awesome.

I don't know about most but we had two very bad ones to end the year
There was nothing on the line in those games. Much worse for me were 2010 Alabama, Sugar Bowl vs tOSU (stung even more when they had to vacate), the Stoernover, the Fish fumble against UF, 2006 LSU.

I hate Rod Gardner to this day. We had a TD taken away earlier in the game for a less blatant offensive PI than his.

2011 WS, game 6. I will never forget getting ready to leap off my couch yet watching Nelson Cruz miss the ball by like a foot
A&M hasn't been in contention enough in football for any losses to really be soul-crushing...but man, 2011 UT fricking hurt to watch live.
Now that I think about it, 2008 NCAA tournament loss to UCLA on a no-call foul was brutal. That team could have made a serious run.

As a Saints fan, 2011 vs SF was freaking brutal.
As a Gamecock, there are many to choose from, but coming home off the bus to look up the score vs Coppin State in the NCAA 1st round as a 2 seed was a serious kick in the nuts and was a sign of things to come throughout my entire life as a Gamecock fan. Think we were the 1sy 2 seed to lose to a 15 at the time.
..then we lost to the 14th seed Richmond the next year

I was 10 years old, and I still remember the State newspaper having a frame by frame shot of the push off the next morning.
That was the first game I can really remember watching Carolina-Clemson, and the first season I can really remember following and understanding.
As you can imagine, my hatred for Clemson was cemented then and there.
