Either the Memorial (bell) Tower, The Indian Mounds, or Tiger Stadium.
David Pollack would say Coates Hall is the most recognizable landmark at LSU.

this ended up being a solid thread. learned a little about the different campuses

Our campus suffered terribly from an enrollment explosion during the worst decades in the history of architecture. Our new buildings look much, much better but we still have a wonky, mostly ugly campus. It is what it is.

Anyone from mississippi state who says something besides the water tower is a liar. It is all they have.

Wow, didn't realize how gorgeous all of these other campuses were.
The real question is, who in the SEC does not have a drop dead gorgeous campus? Is there a school?

Yeah, way too many buildings from the 1970's and shite, but y'all are headed in the right direction.
So from this thread, I'm going to say my favorite non-stadium landmarks for each campus in the SEC are, in no particular order:
Aggie Bonfire Memorial
Mizzou Columns
Bama President's Mansion
Ole Miss Lyceum
UGA Arch
LSU Indian Mounds/trees
Arky Old Main

Apart from the Hill (where Ayres Hall is), UT is pretty damn ugly. Not to mention all the construction going on right now doesn't help at all with that. Some parts of the campus even look like they were designed in Eastern Bloc Europe after WWII(see pictures below). But hey i still love it.

lol, in 50 years people will say how much they like designs from the 70s.
all you have to do is let something get old enough to where that kind of design starts becoming rare.
IMO A&M should dump our on campus golf course and turn it into a lake/lazy river
I'm also a little surprised no Ags have posted the Century Tree.
It's one of the first trees planted on campus and is well known for people proposing and having wedding ceremonies under it.

Now that you mention it, UT and Vandy are the two SEC campuses that I really know nothing about.
