That's excellent recruiting.
It isn't just rankings, it's hitting on players and especially the big difference makers. Les Miles had it down to an art form. Kelly is digging hard and deep into the portal each season to try to find those guys. This season, you guys were rivaling Kiffin in the portal, and most know he can't recruit high school.

Just because you didn't watch, doesn't mean it didn't happen. He had some great QB play. He has the arm and accuracy, he just needs to make better decisions, on some situations. He threw for over 4,000 yards as a first year starter. That doesn't happen. His only downfalls were turnovers and reluctance to run. The turnovers can be fixed. Jayden Daniels threw 10 interceptions to 10 touchdowns the year before he got to LSU. We all see how that turned out. No, you're just a Bama homer and your jealousy is showing.

But I think people are sleeping on the team and understandably so, I'd rather be the underdog anyway
However, we haven't won an opening game in 5 years, if we get that monkey off our back, then the public's perception returns to measured and objective reality

If Nuss starts to occasionally tuck it and run to keep defenses honest we'll be ok. If he doesn't it will be another 3 to 4 loss season.
