quote:You can cut these yards and carries in half, and as long as we win those games he's still in the Heisman race
He ran for 236 on 32
He ran for 210 on 38
He ran for 204 on 22
118 on 16
105 on 19
102 on 11
are still very good games
The fact that he doubled up just shows his endurance and how important he is to us

It just eats LSU fans up that for once they were getting a shot at all the glory of having a Heisman winner and being in the mix for a championship. Alabama happened and they've been butthurt ever since. Alabama football > 1.6ypc.

Shouldn't you're team be worrying about Clemson?

Uh let's see. Henry gets popped multiple times on every play by DL, LB, and or CB on route to almost 2,000 yards rushing. So let's say on 45 carries he got popped 90 times.
Compared to a pocket passing Big XII QB that might get hit five times a game.

Mayfield is the best QB in the nation. He should be there for sure. Henry is deserving as well.

Big 12 has no defense and can't tackle. SEC still has many great defenses.

If you're on your own 20 yard line....the qb throws a 1 yard pass and then the receiver breaks tackles and takes it all the way, the qb is credited with a 80 yard td pass when actually the receiver did the work. Why?

McCaffrey is the better overall RB, but Henry is a good fit for Bama's offense and there's a significant drop off behind him so you can't discount how valuable he is.

Show me a QB that gets gang tackled by 3-5 guys as many times as DH and still gets up to pass it again and we can talk. Otherwise, you're just being naïve in thinking this is an accurate comparison.

Do you ever shut the frick up about Alabama?

Because they lost to the shitty texas longhorns

How is it any more impressive to run the ball 200 yards on 45+ carries?

What's the difference between D. Henry and a Big XII Quarterback?
Both shred Kevin Steele defenses?

Running the ball is running the ball. You get hit at the end every time
well, not if you're Derrick Henry.

Derrick Henry had 23 rushes for 129 yards and a touchdown

Since you're such a billy badass, I'd love to see you carry the ball 45+ times against an SEC defense.

I can see your argument for, maybe, a 1000-yard rusher getting the Heisman, as 1000-yard rushers are just as common as 3000-yard passers in the Big XII.
But this dude is about to hit 2,000 yards in a conference that has never seen that before.

How many 500 yard passing games did Big 12 QBs even have this year?
No single Big XII player passed for 500+ yards in a single game in 2015.
However, TCU, as a team, passed for 504 yards against Texas Tech in September. Additionally, Texas Tech, as a team, passed for 500+ yards in consecutive games (Baylor, Iowa State).
