One is leaving and another weighing his options.

They haven't had a good QB since Bert Jones back in the 70's.

You can probably find the answers you seek in the half dozen other threads on the subject.

Yeah. One wants playing time and the other wants.. playing time...

LSU sucks. Why do we just play all 4 at the same time? You're posts are awesome btw

Tommy Hodson, Herb Tyler, Rohan Davey, JaMarcus Russell and Matt Flynn would beg to differ. We haven't had a good QB in the last 11 years.

Three of the four QBs on the roster at the start of Tuesday were recruited by Les Miles. Immediately after Orgeron got the full-time gig, he actually (but laughably given there was no way he was leaving) tried to get Tua to flip to Alabama before Narcisse and Brennan signed and both of them temporarily decommitted. So Orgeron had a chance to undo Miles' mistakes but couldn't do it.

Narcisse probably can't play. I'm not sure Brennan can, either. McMillan has always been a practice body, and he's probably next out the door because in his deluded mind he thinks he can play. And we have no idea if Burrow can play.

Again, this goes back to Miles' inability to properly evaluate and develop quarterbacks. And I don't have much faith in Orgeron and his cronies to do any better.

I bet that made sense in your head.

A backup QB wants to play so he is transferring so he can play! Shocking!

Matt Flynn? Are we considering a guy who's best season is 2400 yards with a 56 comp % a good qb now?

As Rohan Davey completes yet another pass to Josh Reed. I'll bet a few Tide fans thought that game would never end.

No it’s just shocking that the QBs are so shitty that they can’t beat out the really shitty QBs in front of them.

How many will be left on the roster? 2?

With big hitters they're going to face, they may not end up with any QBs midseason if they have bad luck.

If Narcisse transfers to, say, Ole Miss or some SEC school, does he ever get to work in Louisiana later in his life?

How does that work? Has he spent enough time as a Tigah?

It's not the QBs. Its the coaches/systems. They haven't had anyone that has any idea how to coach a qb in a while and certainly don't have one now.

Successful college qbs are at programs that have qb friendly offenses and have OCs that understand how to progress a QB.

I agree with this.

That is why I feel very comfortable with Jimbo.

Between Ponder, EJ, Winston, and Francois Jimbo churns them out regularly.

Winning a NC makes those stats useless.

McMillan makes sense. He is a RSJR and he already graduated. He wasn't going to win the starting spot over Burrow, and he wants to play.

Narcisse doesn't make sense. He is only a RSFR and has four years of eligibility left. We were already putting some wildcat packages in for him ala Tebow in 2006. I think he jumped the gun.

But all in all, LSU is down to the two QBs who everybody thought would play this year: Burrow and Brennan. We'll be fine.

It does. Just ask Dan Marino.

However, LSU doesn’t win in 2007 without Perrilloux.

We will be fine for this year. But O needs to find a coach who can develop QBs. LSU is a power 5 program, we should have the coaching ability to develop QBs we recruit.
