LSU fans love to do this to themselves, especially when it comes to recruiting season and they convince themselves this is the year they get that recruit to stay in state and not go to Bama.

You can thank J. Malon Sutherland and Ray Bowen for that. Corps Block is only as old as the Big 12 Conference...and is just as much of a dumpster fire as the Big 12 is.
To answer the question: defends failing coaches WAY too long, then acts surprised when they fail and does a complete 180.

I believe there are MSU fans that would be Happy with never winning a national championship as long as Ole Miss never won one. And it's the most insane mentality I've ever seen.
I could care less what Ole Miss does like I could care less what Utah does. That's not my team Mississippi State is. And it's like people lose themselves.

Fans leaving games early. Winning, losing, doesn’t matter. Bunch of millennial idiots. That shite affects morale.
