Dude who lives in North Cobb is labeling people by the area they live in?

That's rich.

As you noted above, football IS religion to some people. I am one of them, I would know.

I would absolutely prefer the stadiums packed, above all, the players themselves deserve that experience (they didn't train for decades to play in an empty stadium). But, my love for the game does not demand bystanders present, as long as the band is there. They can pipe in crowd noise, it's just noise. Piped in music is garbage, that needs to done on the field with instruments.

The fans are nice, but during these times, I would understand why the stands would be empty. I will remember this season in a weird, ugly way, but I'll still be grateful and happy to watch the games with just the teams, staff and officials ( and the TV broadcast crews ).

I'm not sure about the cheerleaders. They can social distance and still be hot, but without a live audience to lead they'll need to get creative. They are smart and resourceful people. I'm confident they'll figure out a good way to contribute to the broadcast.

right here. I can understand when we shut down, nobody knew how the hell it was gonna affect certain people.

Once we knew, we should've had opened everything back up.

Older people, stay at home and the rest, be smart and get after it.

If all of these "muh freedom" idiots would wear masks, we could say both.

I've seen photos all over this board of that Ga Tech game from 1918 in the middle of the Spanish Flu pandemic when it was at it's worst. The stands were full of fans and they were all wearing masks. Why can't we just do that again? 'Rona is no worse than the Spanish Flu. In fact, many experts are saying it has weakened. It's spreading faster but it's killing fewer. If you're at risk, stay home.

Given how the offseason has gone, I'll be fine with no season... As long as UM loses "Ole Miss" and the "Rebels" moniker

Neither is important in a comparable context. You want to be healthy, some want to watch football. You be healthy and do whatever it takes to satisfy your health concerns, and I'll watch football not giving two damns about your health.

That is a false choice. The virus does not present a deadly health risk to public safety WHEN 99.9% OF THE PEOPLE WHO GET IT RECOVER!!!

It’s time to play football!!!
