Both Terrence Cody and Jesse Williams played nose guard in a 3-4 defense.

I mean, is there another starting defensive end in the entire SEC that averaged only 2 tackles per game?

Rashaan Evans had 4x as many sacks as Lawson... And he was 2nd/3rd string and was only on the field for 3rd downs.

shouldn't it be 18 games? 37 divided by 18 equals 2.05

Yup, sure enough. I accidentally added the 11 games from the first season with the 5 solo tackles the following year from the linked page... not paying enough attention. It was in Aubie's favor too. Good catch... I bet you actually saw those 2 tackles as well!

Can you link me to where I melted about Brown? Pretty thrilled with the crop we hauled in on D-line (Rochester, Carter, Manac, & Marshall). Now, I *may* have had a minor melt about Price, simply due to lack of talent at the OT position, but Brown was going to be a "nice to have" not a "need to have" piece.

Von Miller averaged less than 2 tackles per game in the NFL and was still all-pro.

Seriously, this is a retarded troll.

Dude still had 11 sacks. This year was a down year in total tackles but he was still impactful... LINK

Think that might have had something to do with his 11 sacks and 4 forced fumbles?

Can you tell me another starting DE in the SEC that put up similar numbers to Carl Lawson? TIA.

The melt and obsession over an obviously talented d end in this thread is awesome

I don't care to research further because it's a retarded argument to begin with. Had either come out to the NFL Draft this year, they would've both been drafted in the top 3 rounds. But yeah, they suck.

I am fascinated by how bad your team is three years removed from a NC game appearance, just trying to understand how that happens.

Carl Lawson hasn't played enough snaps to deserve even 50% of the hype Auburn fans give him. He looks freakish when healthy going up agianst guys like Laremy Tunsil, but you can't justify best DE in the country based on 5 career healthy games

That being said, looking up Lawson stats is incredibly stupid

quote:

2013- TRUE FRESHMAN YEAR

Minor tear in ACL in game 5 which required end of year surgery

Lawson was the backup DE behind 1st RD pick Dee Ford

quote:

2015

Lawson only played half of the Louisville game and came back injured for at least 2-3 games. You can't compare his per game stats with a healthy guy who didn't play only half of games
