I'd rather LSU hire a coach that can actually beat Mississippi State.

I think he would be solid too. He would probably get Rob Sale back here as OC too.

LSU hasn't made any offers.

So I am assuming you are kidding

approve. Then if he is successful we can hire him away in a few years when Saban hangs it up.

Nobody would leave LSU for Bama. Bama’s success isn’t Bama it’s Nick Saban!

I think Franklin would be a perfect fit at LSU. If he can win at Vandy, just THINK what he could do at LSU with the recruit-haven of Louisiana

Yeah, Bama never won anything before Saban got there.

And why is Venables not in any coaching search conversation. This, Clemson hasn’t tanked because of defense

I think it would be a fantastic hire for LSU.
The perfect fit, perhaps.
Very good coach. Young & charismatic. Louisiana son.
I’d be glad for LSU and the for the conference.

I think Venerables is content with just being a DC. Doesn’t want to be a head coach

Not an LSU fan, but I think the big take away from most others will be:

Whiffed on the big one (Herman, Fisher)
LSU isn’t an attractive job

Those will be the insults lobbed.

The NCAA is going to keep elite coaching away. Napier may be the best option and as a bonus, he also has that Curley Howard look going for him. In CajunLand that can only be a plus.

It was last year too. But you assclowns still bought it.

Napier and Aranda are the two guys I would hate to see in Red Stick. Both solid resumes, proven SEC experience, no gimmicky schemes and no goofy “row the boat” schtick.

I would have hired either at AU last year. Fortunately Harsin appears to be cut from the same cloth personality wise.

I concur with the opinion that Napier was testing the waters last year to see what the market could bear. His sights were set on LSU or Bama.

The one downside for yall is that fat fricker Sexton is his agent, so be prepared to pay Jimbo like money for his services.
