Fournette would get the ball over henry anytime he was capable. I would not split carries and take a carry away from fournette and give it to henry unless Leo needed a breat her for a couple plays here and there. I'm sure any coach would feel the same way. He's just too damn dynamic and talented to split carries. You keep him on the field as much as possible. That's not me being an lsu fan, that's just common sense.

Nah, Saban is loyal to really good players who don't get into the doghouse. Henry had already established that he was sharing the load in 2014 with Yeldon. So LF probably gets more first team touches than most backs would "behind" those two in 2014, then splits roughly evenly with Henry in 2015. LSU fans will consider that a knock, but it really isn't.

He would have made an already national title winning team better. He also probably has more room to run since Alabama had a better passing game than LSU. And he doesn't have to try and run on the Alabama Defense..in a real game.

Both have 1k+. Fournette gets 60/40 IMO. There would def be games where Henry would be featured more than the LF.

Having to face those 2 different styles constantly would be tough on any Defense.

Alabama runs at will, neither win the heisman.

What about Henry at LSU?
LSU still doesn't win the SEC IMO but how would bama have done? Drake looked good against us but average in some other games I watched. Didn't watch enough bama games to get a good feel for Scarborough and harris(?)...

Very real possibility. But he chose LSU.

He would have given Heisman Winner Derrick Henry a nice breather here and there.

Actually I think Henry would have been moved to Linebacker.

Would be just another system back that racks up yards in blow outs and then a NFL bust.

How does one rack up yards in blowouts? Don't teams usually run almost exclusively in their play-calling once a game is a blowout? Don't defenses usually know that the team on the winning side of a blow out is going to run, so they stack the box to stop the run and get the ball back?

Just because runners at Bama seemingly get stronger as the game goes on and the O-line wears other teams out, doesn't mean they get yardage in blowout time. It means their production LEADS to blowouts.

then a NFL bust

Offensive rookie of year Eddie Lacy says nah.
Mark Ingram says nah to the bust line after Saints gave him $16M on his second contract.
TJ Yeldon says nah to the bust line after having over 1000 yards from scrimmage and the Jags having winning record in games he played and losing record when he doesn't play.

Those are just the RBs. I can go on and on with a list of guys who you would flame as "busts" who are anything but a bust. You've got Trent. That's it.

I'm sure that if he were the featured back like Henry was last year, he would have posted similar numbers (at least) to what he posted at LSU last year....

He would have been one more in a string of All American backs. Hell, he may have even won a Heisman like Ingram and Henry.

I love Henry to death and think he's amazing, but I feel like LF7 has more raw talent. I think he would have gotten around 150 more years and 150-200 more receiving yards if he were at Bama.

Why ponder this, it was said here Bama never wanted Fournette.

not sure who said that. pretty much everyone who follows Bama recruiting knows that Bama really wanted him badly. Some may have said missing out on him didn't hurt Bama (so far it has not), but all would readily acknowledge we wanted him.

question, would he have set a record so high that no SEC RB would ever come close to reaching it again?

He wouldn't be able to break chubbs record if he played at bama.

I got banned for saying Lynyrd was a Bama lock during his recruitment, so go figure.
