Soccer among the young adults has become the #1 sport

Will kids of certain socio economic groups start playing sports that are not as violent as FB

Will we see the power 4 or 5 in the next 10 years?

Which SEC team that has not done so already, will win a FB natty.

These are things when I am having my pillow talk with Heidi Klum that we talk about. Please discuss.

Unless the NFL goes under, college football is going no where

If more kids are playing other sports do you think the level of play in both college and professional goes down?

Auburn should be within a decade or 2 of their 3rd National title.

College football as we know it will be dead in 20 years, mainly as a side effect of the pussification of America.

As we know the game today, $$$ will kill it. It'll become more of a minor league for the NFL(or maybe World Football League). It's possible that a few schools will maintain it and it'll look like a club or Ivy League game (lots of white boys ).

It won't be dead, but it will not be what is is today.

1. The coming concussion lawsuit train will destroy the NFL, and it will trickle down.
2. Kids today aren't playing football as much as they once were. The South is not as bad, but in most areas of the country, kids can't play tackle football until junior high school.
3. All these kids playing soccer and a competent American professional league, its gaining popularity.
4. Most students on college campuses today care very little about athletics. After they are done getting rid of the Greek system, major college athletics will be the next target.

1) I don't think you just destroy a multi billion dollar a year enterprise...they'll work it out.
2) I haven't seen any numbers to verify that. Baseball and basketball haven't gone by the wayside.
3) No doubt that soccer is gaining in popularity, but I don't envision the game putting American football out of business. Hell, our football is gaining popularity in other parts of the world.
4) If you notice, college kids make up a small part of the overall interest in football, and that's the way it's been for a while.

I know a lot of friends of mine who have younger kids are letting them play baseball and soccer. It would be interesting to see in the big city Metro areas the number of kids who are playing youth FB compared to just 10 years ago.

Look at declining attendance figures nationwide. That ought to tell you something.

The law suits at the HS level will destroy football. The insurance rates will become way to expensive for most HS to justify a football program.

I haven't looked at the numbers but you could probably say the same thing about most sports. It has more to do with picture quality and new T.V.s now than anything directly related to the sport itself.
