What will other SEC fanbases be surprised by the most from your team this season?

For Ole Miss, I think our Defense will be surprisingly less horrible this season. (Finished 121 out of 129 teams in 2019 and gave up nearly 500 yards and 5 TD's per game)

Rich Rod switching to a more ball control running offense will keep the Defense off the field a little more.

Mike Macintyre will be infinitely better than Crime Dog at managing the Defense. Return pretty much everyone and add a couple highly recruited LB's and our best CB is back from injury.

We will still suck tho.

For State, hopefully our QB will surprise me and throw better than 50% completion.

Is he really going away from his spread? He’s never been ball control. Can you go into more detail about this? What is he trying to do?

He's not going to be throwing 3 40 yard bombs in a row and then punt after running 60 seconds off the clock like Longo. I'm just speaking in relative terms to the Air Raid offense Ole Miss ran last season. He's running the spread but from what I understand his offense emphasizes the run a lot more.

Just how good our receiving core is. It's insanely deep..and very, very talented.

We will have 2 freshman 4* WR'ers that will combine to be our best freshman WR'ers in school history... and end up the best ever.

Given Mike Elko's history, I expect our pass defense to make a sizable jump in effectiveness and limit the amount of explosive plays that were all too frequent last year.

Biggest surprise will be the impact of the next Darren Sproles (but angrier), Shaun Shivers. Played a bit last year as a change of pace...but has really come on strong and playing an every down role...his expected 4-7 touches looks more like 10-15

Auburn's linebackers will be very good this year despite losing D. Davis and our other two starters.

Linebacker play. Dimitri Moore had 87 tackles (47 solo) with 3.5 TFL and 1.0 sack as a RS FR. Colin Anderson was expected to play a lot but struggled with injuries, also as a RS FR. Kenny Hebert led the team in sacks (only had 4.0, unfortunately) as a RS SO. I don't think Vandy will have a truly standout LB, though Moore could be with tackle-machine Jordan Griffin (119 total with 62 solo) gone and his habit for getting to the ball. I just think there are enough good players there to create a very good, not great, unit. Don't want to go player by player on a group who has not played a ton while waiting their turn.

We will actually have a punt return game this year.

Plus it will be fun beating the brakes off of Bama and the faggies.

He's also a hair faster than Sproles and had a better true freshman season
- Sproles: 210 yards, 1 TD
- Shivers: 371 yards, 3TD

So since Sproles had 1465 rushing yards and 17 TD as a SO clearly that means Shivers is going to one up Sproles again by running for 1500+ yards and 20 TD this year

A&M’s passing game will take a pretty large leap forward. Mond in year 2 under Jimbo, pass protection should be better, and returning a very talented and experienced receiving core.
