Just curious, what do you think is the first thing Texas does in the SEC that makes all of you say "So this is the new normal?"

Nothing. The influence in this conference resides in Tuscaloosa.

Beat the hogs and then proclaim they are national champions. So Texas.

Rotate the SEC championship to Dallas, SEC media days in Houston.

Not happening. 80k fans in Fayetteville this year will be the rowdiest crowd they've seen in years(OU of course).

Nothing because that narrative is for the most part bullshite. Texas has been forced to carry a bunch of smaller in state schools for most of its existence and that is no longer the case. Would you expect LSU to view La Tech, Tulane, ULL, and ULM as equal partners if the Louisiana State legislature forced LSU to carry them around in a conference? No you wouldn't, you would undoubtedly expect LSU to call the shots in a conference that included that.

1st - Changes UT to "Tennessee"; keeps "UT" for itself (will be subtle change plan)
They will start winning now that they lay claim to SEC onramp for Texas blue chippers
Over time, this leads to eventual proposal of "alternative resource allocation" models that pits the haves against the have nots
3rd - eventually threatens to leave SEC for the next super power conference to get "alternative resource allocation" model. Outcome: Texas leaves or SEC becomes new SEC w/alternative resource allocation or cuts the have nots out
4th - SEC eventually breaks apart into to par

Losses to A&M, Mizzou and UK. You won't hear about Texas trying to push schools around from an influence perspective, because no one in this league will allow it. I don't think Texas will be happy in the SEC.

Mizzou doesn't get a say in what will or won't be allowed.

Could be, but then Orlando, Nashville and New Orleans would also have the SECCG

Atlanta tried and failed doing this, Houston would be no different

lol, TX and OU are dusting off the old SWC puppet strings for Ark. You'll ask "How High" when TX and OU tells you to jump.

My prediction:
1. Force SEC baseball tourney out of Hoover and into some kind of revolving host cities.
2. Same with basketball out of Nashville.
3. Eventually same with football out of Atlanta.
4. Start chirping about revenue sharing.
5. Merge the Longhorn Network with SEC Network but demand more TV coverage than smaller SEC schools.
6. frick over Texas A&M at every opportunity.
7. frick up any SEC recruiting inroads that had been gained in Texas.
8. Complain to the commissioner about all kinds of other menial bullshite.

We'll play nice, but these 3 are almost guaranteed.

Make the horns down gesture into a taunting/unsportsmanlike behavior penalty
