Re: Alabama storming field.
I’ve never seen Alabama fans storm the field in the 60 years I’ve followed them. However I have seen Alabama fans storm the streets, quad etc. In 1971 Alabama went to California to play USC. Coach Bryant unvailed the wishbone with Terry Davis (from LA) pitching to Johnny Musso. This was after four bad years of football by Alabama standards.
There was not a person or car to be seen on the darkened streets that night as the game was being played. You could hear sounds in every block as the entire population listened to the game in the radio but it was spooky how deserted the town seemed.
When the game ended, Alabama victorious, spontaneously the entire population of Tuscaloosa poured into the night streets. Mobs were storming down Unuversity Blvd… the President mansion and the Admin bldg was overrun by thousands. The fountain in front of Rose building was filled with laundry detergent and was blowing bubbles. Unapproved displays of intense physical affection were going on everywhere down sorority row.
I’ve never seen anything like it before or since.

Did Pittman really get carried off the field?

I was surprised we stormed it.. it's Texas but they weren't a top 10 team or anything like that. I think it was just a combination of beating the shite out of them so bad and people probably tired of dealing with COVID and ready to rampage.

We suffered our fist ever winless conference season under Bert, suffered back to back winless conference seasons under Super Aggy Chad Morris, and even had had John L Smi(le)th for a season.
We've lost to Louisiana Monroe, Rutgers twice, Colorado State, and blowout losses by North Texas and Western Kentucky on our home field.
Mother of God…….
But man, if you’re gonna list all these failures out you might as well mention that fake downed punt TD return.

No current SEC rivalry, save maybe the Iron Bowl, has the palpable hate that this rivalry does.
Hahaha yall might hate us that much, congrats. We dont like yall (you hate us after all) but we dont think about you much. OU, Aggie, LSU are all bigger games for us.
Then why did Texas lose to Arkansas this past weekend?

LSU decline so bad they jelly that Arkansas is knocking on top 15 teams.
Man how the times have changed.

I'd hate to be a Bama fan. Winning has taken all the fun out of the game for them.
Kinda depends on your definition of fun.... I love seeing Bama games win/lose/or draw they usually don't like some sort of excitement... Enjoying music, good BBQ, drinks, dancing with friends? That's fun... Don't see the point of really storming the field though... #thingswhitepeopledo... I can that because I have a white friend... But storming into a whirlwind moshpit type situation with 100,000 drunk college kids isn't too appealing.. My method usually ends in my getting laid. The other usually irks tf outta me...

You serious, Clark?
Some folks have forgotten how fun college football is supposed to be.

I don't keep up with who storms the field. So I guess Arky does, and Auburn does. Does every SEC team's fan storm the field but Bama? What about UGA or Florida? LSU? I just want to know who storms and who doesn't.
South Carolina fans stormed the field after beating fricking New Mexico State and tore the goal posts down since they were the team that had the honor of snapping our 0-21 run.
Not a proud moment in retrospect.

If I listed all of our failures during the last decade then I'd get a lot of TL;DR responses.

It was a good win for them over an old rival, ranked in the top 15, at night. No issue with it.

Aside from being one of the pre-listed Texas excuses, therefore rather lame, you should probably know that what you think about as we embarrass and dominate you doesn’t interest us….or anyone.

Glad for them. As an upside, it appears to have gotten the t.u. infestation of this board.
