Miss the old days of going to a game and then getting in the car and listening to another game on AM radio. You know where the sound goes in and out...and at times you frantically zip around the dial looking for another station with a better signal. Listed to a lot of good upsets that way. In particular, when Memphis State beat Alabama way back in 87 I believe (Bill Curry).

Still love doing that on the drive home. It's even better now with the TuneIn app. I listen to games from all over the country. Any game. And you can listen to either team's feed. Its great.

1985 win over #1 Florida. We didn't just beat them. Worley and Henderson stomped them into oblivion.
1997 vs Florida-- Stopped their streak for a minute.
2006 vs Auburn-- This one may have been the sweetest of all. Auburn came in #5. We'd just lost to Florida and Kentucky and didn't have a chance. Matthew Stafford opened up a can of whoopass.
2001 vs Tennessee-- Hobnail boot

1997: Beat #1 Spurrier. He went through 4 visors that night.
2001: Beat #2 Tennessee for the SEC title (Yes, kids, Tennessee used to play in the post season.)

Dec 1, 2007 was a damn strong day for LSU. First Oklahoma blew out Mizzou, (literally everyone saw that coming), then Tenn got Perrillouxed, but LSU still needed W Va to lose to 4-7 Pitt. That late game is pretty hazy in my memory but it might have been the loudest I've ever been in a bar.

You laugh, but y’all rushed the field after beating us in ‘14. How many other times have y’all rushed the field in the last decade?

We weren't rushing the field, we were looking for Bo Wallace.
Still didn't put that game in my top ten.

The win in 2001 over UF is the biggest upset of my lifetime. Listening to the ESPN make their picks prior to the game made it all that much sweeter.

Probably Florida in 1985. UF was ranked #1 facing probation for something like 104 NCAA violations and had their nose out of joint because there was talk of not letting them be considered for a NC title. They were indignant at the thought of actually having to pay a price for cheating. Georgia solved the problem for everyone. The Dawgs tore them apart. There wasn’t any controversy when we finished with them. It was heaven!

Auburn at LSU 2017. Historical meltdown by the Barners.

Have they hung a banner to commemorate that yet? Generations of little pretend princelings are going to hear the story of the time LSU rushed the field after beating Ole Missed.
