The awesome thing about this picture is that the girl on the right (you know, the one in sunglasses) is also an Arkansan, and one you can be pretty proud of. At least I am
I can't even imagine the courage and fortitude those 9 students had at such a young age!

Oh hell...
The Clinton Library is actually a pretty awesome piece of architecture, IMO.
I'm most embarrassed that people have the mindset that they would see a trailer in the Clinton Library's architecture. That kind of shite....

Yep that does it. Those images from my childhood still make me ill. My mother had to work to help put food on the the table so we had a lady who stayed with us. She ate lunch at the kitchen table where we ate and used the same facilities. Yet I knew people like those in "The Help."
She used to tell me to go to the back of the yard and if I could fill my little basket with blackberries she would make she and I a cobbler and we could eat it all before my older brother and sisters got home from school.
We lived in the country far away from all that, yet I remember the scenes from the old B&W rabbit ears like it was yesterday. Sad to say I know people who seem to wish for those days back.

Porky I think your link on Sundown Towns is a bit exaggerated to say the least.
Harrison being a Sundown town up to 2002 is ridiculous.

I agree with little rock. I live in Hot Springs. The only reason to live in LR for me would be to make a little more money.
Other than that....in a town of 50k a hellava lot more to do here than there.
