Despite the apparent fact that their HC and his staff were aware of the negotiations between Rogers and Cecil, and not only failed to notify their compliance staff in a timely manner, they continued to recruit Cam right up until he signed with AU. Both of which are clear NCAA violations, if true.

Seems to me like they didn't take the Rogers claim that he could provide Cam's services for a price very seriously either. Maybe it was all bullshite?

The only thing I take from the situation is that Mullen learned a lot of valuable lessons in a short period of time. Lessons on several different levels

OJ Simpson was also found not guilty. Everybody in the CFB world, including Auburn fans, knows Cam was paid, and paid lots. You can try and pretend otherwise, but you know the truth deep down. Money trails can be covered, people can be paid to lie or turn their heads. My guess is that a back room deal was made. Bobby Lowder and Milt McGreggor were basically told to stay away from the program for a reason. Cam was paid, and paid lots. That’s why he came to play at Auburn for that one season.
