And then NIL era started and look what has happened since then to yalls mighty baseball program. That extra private school financial aid endowment cash sure isn’t as appealing to the best of the best recruiting targets out there like it was a few years, eh?

You guys have not put up a batting order anywhere close to as good as our 1-9 since before Covid. And it’s us now who are the ones annually pumping out 1st round starting pitchers.

Needn’t worry though Chuck, we shall keep the baseball throne y’all used to sit on nice and warm for yall this next quarter century of the Vitello era.

Ya'll are so new to this, it's adorable. We had a bad season. Even in a bad season, we make the postseason (longest active streak in baseball) We were a top 8 seed last year, just failed in our regional. Corbs whiffed on a couple of recruiting classes. It happens, even to a future HOF coach like Corbs. Our upperclassmen this year were inconsistent and unreliable. They're gone now. Have fun while we're in a slight downturn...won't last long.

#1 recruiting class incoming for us next year too. Can’t wait to find out who has the better players and future pros between us on our respective rosters these next few years! ;)

Liver cancer from how you Cajuns all start drinking routinely at 8 years old?

More awesomely strong and intellectually gifted Black women mayors/politicians and chancellors to dictate how LSU itself and every major Louisiana city is ran moving forward?

A job relocation offer to join the other tens of thousands of native Louisianans that have made Tennessee their new permanent home?

Tell me!

Lol Serraneaux stays swimming in y'alls head. Nevermind the fact that my account is years older than Serraneaux's. As if someone is pre-registering accounts years in advance of making their main account everyone is familiar with as part of a grand plot to alter the SEC Rant to death

Neat fact though I do know about me and Serraneaux from previous interactions with him: he lives in the same community I grew up in and his kids attend/will attend the same HS I graduated from. Small world!

again...so adorable. The rest of us in here realize that you never judge a recruiting class until after the draft.

Which is tremendous news I reckon for the Vandy bois, cause on paper yalls class ain't exactly bringing in the Sonny Gray's, David Price's, and Dansby Swanson's of the blue chip world

I'm sure in a few weeks it'll be obvious that Vanderbilt will have better new talent funneling onto their roster than us.

Just pray that dudes in our class we have coming up like Manny fricking Ramirez's son never ends up rocking Tennessee orange for at least 3 years swag pimping HR after HR. What a perfect fit that'd be: Ramirez family power and swaggering flare playing under a program powered by Tony V's culture of confidence and excellence.

However, newcomer, Texas, won 66 games in 1983, losing 14 games. The Longhorns were the national champions, beating runner-up, Alabama, which finished 46-11.

That is a massive difference in number of games played.

That Alabama team could have won every game and they still would not have finished with over 60 wins.

It's kind of crazy how different the seasons can be, total games wise.

If, and I am saying if, we win the national title we would be the first #1 seed to win it since 1999. I mean, that would make us the best team in the last twenty-five years. Right?

i believe A&M has a chance to make history as well. possibly the 1st team to win a title without losing to anyone outside of the conference.

Tennessee with a chance to be considered the GREATEST team in SEC college baseball history. Pretty neat Can’t believe mighty LSU baseball has not won 60 games in a season

Now let’s compare midweek competition, Louisiana had 5 regional teams in state this year and generally usually has 3-4 in state teams who make it to regionals. What is Tenns local competition that they play in mid weeks on a regular basis?
