Actually the NET VALUE of the scholarship hasn't increased

In the beginning, compensation for collegiate athletes usually meant assistance with employment, gifts, favors and usually free room and board at the home of a coach or a team supporter. Primarily funded by a school’s alumni and fraternities, incentives were offered to entice players to choose a specific school and to constantly improve on their performance.
You really need to do some research...now I am off to vacation

The get significantly more today:

Tuition
Room (In a dorm not with a coach)
Board
Medical care
Insurance
Trainers
Training
Stipends
.....and more

It's not in the millions. It's closer to less than $100,000 for the biggest programs/schools.

I should say that i was wrong when I wrote this. It should have read for the smaller programs/schools.

We need to just create a minor league.

Sure, it'll gut college football of talent, but maybe the game itself can go back to meaning more.

My point should've been that a Bachelor's Degree in the job market in previous eras allowed you to pursue a certain level of employment just like a bachelor's degree does in 2019

Regardless of inflation, bachelor's degree is substantially equal to a bachelor's degree

In simplest terms the players are getting the same exact thing that they got in previous eras whereas every other entity is getting TONS more money

Regardless of what degrees cost in different eras, once the player has that degree it has the same relative worth WRT pursuing jobs

I clearly said earlier that at the big money schools it might be 2%

I named Bama & Texas but that doesn't mean that UGA and others aren't also big money schools

The direction & tenor of my info was wayyyyy more accurate than that $100K garbage you wrote

At the Top75 Colleges that have avg enrollments of 25K students and more $100K is only $4 each student

Any common sense person shoulda known that that number was ridiculous

True. But when money comes into play.....open and free wheeling. What do you think happens with nick Chubb or Todd Gurley or Sony Michel or D'Andre Swift if Alabama decides they want another RB?

Are we really acting like UGA doesn’t have the financial and recruiting backbone to compete in this situation?
