It's probably been pointed out already but Memphis makes the most sense from an attendance standpoint since 5 of the top 6 schools attendance wise are LSU, Arkansas, State, Ole Miss and A&M. All are relatively close to Memphis and could allow for great crowds from extremely loyal fanbases

8,000 paid. No way there have been 8,000 for any of the sessions this week.

If we have to play this thing Memorial day weekend every year, I say do it in Pensacola. Easy drive for most, the others will fly. Beach and other activities. People will make it an annual thing. I have no desire to spend a weekend in Hoover. It's freaking stupid. SEC is so Bama-centric they make bad decisions.
It doesn't bother me, but I would assume that the annual gay pride gathering in Pensacola every memorial day weekend would probably keep a few SEC baseball fans away.

When did I ever say 35,000? I said TD Ameritrade is 3x the size of Hoover. And the pic is from the B10 twitter account. I figured a MSU fan would know something about the park...

Put it in Pearl and the attendance records would be shattered - Pearl is an easy drive for the 3 SEC fanbases that actually show up for the SEC tournament ever year because, really, does anyone care if it's an easy trip for Georgia's 3 fans?
Trustmark Park is too small to host.
Wish they were building the park in Biloxi a lot bigger than 7k seats. That place would be a awesome to host the tourney.

Luckily there is a stadium just hanging out in Memphis that would be perfect to host.

I agree. I've been wanting it there for the par few years.

No to Memphis! It would give Ole Miss, State and Arky a huge home field advantage. LSU fans would also benefit.

They would play it in Birmingham if Legion Field wasn't such a dump.
And they should move Baseball to Regions Field. It is like a 10 minute walk from the SEC offices, and there is a huge park right across the street for crowds to hang out. It would be a boom for the downtown area on Memorial Day weekend. Instead of having it at an older stadium in Hoover where there is one road in and out and all the strip malls nearby.

That's seriously the crowd for the B1G tourney?
Children of the Corn just joined so think of it more as a former B12 team's fans filling a venue. Take away Nebraska and that is much less impressive.

That's the whole point. Move it somewhere that the fans in the area actually care about the sport and benefit from it.

Take away Kentucky's crowd from the SEC tourney and it's a ghost town.

Vandy would be close too. C'mon son you know you would love to pay 5 bucks to sit on the grass in the outfield and get shitfaced all day watching baseball.

Now that you newbs are in the SEC where exactly is the geographic center of the conference? I know if used to be in Alabama, but I doubt that's justifiable anymore.
Yazoo City MS is the geographic center.
ETA sorry, Yazoo is the center of the Western Division. Jasper, AL is center to the whole conference.

The SEC tourney needs to be in Frisco.

SEC Tourney needs to stay right where it is. Attendance may be down this year, but good grief. Look how well its been attended the last several years.
Auburn didn't make it and Alabama lost the first day and there are still reasonable crowds compared to most conference tournaments. There wouldn't be 6 people in Memphis if Arkansas didn't make it and Ole Miss lost the first day.

Frisco ,TX

In addition to fixed stadium seats, the ballpark also features 26 luxury suites located on the second level of the ballpark, which feature patio balconies from which to view the game and closed-circuit television feeds of the game.[24] Also unusual, the bullpens for each team are built into the stands behind the first and third base lines. [23] In the outfield, seating is available on the grass area. This area is branded "San Juan Hill", after the Battle of San Juan Hill in which the team's namesake Rough Riders fought.[25]
The park features a pool built just past the wall in right field, level with the top of the outfield fence. Groups can rent out the pool during the game.[26] Four exclusive members-only areas have also been set up around the park. The most prominent of these "Founder's Areas," is the JCPenney Club, a private, air-conditioned bar and restaurant situated below the press box behind home plate.[3]

Unless it's LSU, AU, or 'Bama it is always 7/10 empty for every other game.

It should rotate between Memphis and Birmingham's new park. If you are going to play it at Hoover Met, you might as well add Zephyr Field, Trustmark Park, Greer Stadium (Nashville) and Biloxi's new park to the rotation.
But it should be in Autozone and at Regions Park.
