UVA. But they aren’t world betters. Be a close game between those two
UNC is pretty close to South Carolina, no?

I feel like they’d have pretty close games at a neutral site.

Why the argument about any year other than 2019? Forget any rankings. If you have watched Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Auburn play this year, you would know that they are all championship caliber teams. The polls are stupid and should be like the playoff committee rankings. Look at each teams achievements to date and rank it that way. If that was the case, LSU would clearly be 1 with maybe Oklahoma second, then Clemson based off their win over A&M. I'm a UGA fan and believe if Georgia keeps on winning they will eventually be ranked where they deserve to be ranked, but based off beating Vandy and Murray State, they shouldn't be ahead of LSU right now. When they beat the shite out of ND, I believe they should be 1 or 2. Who cares where they are ranked now, the only ranking that matters is after the championship games when the playoffs are decided.

Often previous years are indications of decline or rise over time. Have a thread up on the UK board about the Stoops tenure at UK. Has gotten better every year for 6 to 7 years but folks act like last year was a fluke. Granted losing their starting QB in the second game will hurt, but doubtful UK wins less than 8 games this season.

It is easier to change MCBB as fewer players and lower entry costs. While football fortunes may change radically in a year or two, most often the rise and fall is more gradual.

They beat a good Houston team and looked impressive doing it. I give them the edge because of the quality of opponent over Ohio State, Bama and UGA. I forgot that you probably don't watch football outside of your team. I'm a fan of the sport, not just my team.

Uhhhh, my eyes work so it's real easy to determine. Maybe things will change by the end of the year but right now it's not difficult. If Clemson plays a first half against Bama, Georgia or LSU like it did against A&M the game will be over.

I’m saying it seems like UNC and South Carolina are about even.

And nobody thinks South Carolina is any good while you’re saying UNC might be the 2nd best team in the ACC.

I truly couldn’t fathom UNC possibly being the 2nd best team in the SEC.

I have seen nothing to show me Houston is a good team.

You think those teams can score on us?

We held Texas A&M to 3 meaningful points.

Ok. Yeah I agree with you. I see what you are saying.

UNC is better but it would be hard for them to be to any worse than last year.

Because the SEC's second best team wouldn't lose by 43 points to Maryland?

UNC would be behind Kentucky and Missouri in football. That's 9th? 10th? 11th?

They're 2nd or 3rd in the ACC.

I don’t think Syracuse is the second best team.

They’d beat a lot of teams in the SEC though.

UNC won one game in the ACC last season.

It’s going to take more than one win to even declare them middle of the pack in the ACC.
