The chances of me crying are about as slim as the chances of you having sex with anyone other than a close relative or pet sheep.

I love LSU. Their uniforms, their apparel, their field, their love for victory equaled only by their hatred for losing. Beating them in '09 is the 2nd best feeling I've ever had as a sports fan (Saints Superbowl win is #1).

I also resent AU fans making fun of our love for Coach Bryant. If they had a coach like him in their history, maybe they could understand how we feel. I think other fan bases get it. We wear houndstooth because he is a symbol of UA. He's a legend . . . not just in Tuscaloosa, not just in Alabama. I don't worship our coaches, but I respect them greatly. I agree on the hypocrisy of AU fans, also. We've never changed our cheer for anyone (Ex. War Cam Eagle).
AU fans' academic arrogance is so, so misplaced. UA and AU are only separated by a few numbers in most rankings . . . UA is ahead as many times as AU is. I'm a Bama alum, but married an AU grad. My son grew up as an AU fan, but after a trip to Tuscaloosa for Boys State, he completely changed his mind. I had to make him go to E-Day at Auburn for an engineering school visit. He had academic scholarship offers from both schools, but never really considered AU. He's seen both sides and he knows who has quality academics AND class and who likes to act like they have more class and intelligence. I love The University of Alabama, but I don't think my love for my school is any more special than someone else's love for theirs. Auburn people think their love is "special" . . . . no, not so much. RTR!

I do not hate Auburn or really any college team for that matter; I may dislike certain fans because of the way they act regardless of team but I dont hate any particular school.

Having to listen to that in my formative years put a burning hatred of Bama and all things Bama that I still have to this day.
Growing up in Birmingham, Al and having to go to Legion Field for Iron Bowl games puts the hate in you. Plus the fact that the sidewalk Bammers make them easy to hate.

As for the stealing in the grove, I have caught people getting into my cooler twice. Both times underage ole miss kids.
The few times I've seen that it's been high schoolers from Oxford, not "underage Ole Miss kids."
Let's be honest, if you're a student at Ole Miss and need to resort to stealing beer in the Grove, then you're beyond pathetic.

1. Bama - I loathe them. They have never lost a game. All losses were stolen by the refs, according to many of them. They always like to tell you how "classy" they are, which makes them liars. I've never had a fan from other SEC schools except Bama and Florida try to start fights. The Florida stuff happened when Spurrier was coach. The Bama stuff - since I was a student at LSU up to just recently. Fights always started by their fans that look like they played the banjo in Deliverance.
One more thing - stop with the stupid "The Tide don't lose in Baton Rouge" cheer. In the last 6 meetings in Baton Rouge, LSU has 4 wins and Bama has 2. We have as many wins in Baton Rouge against Bama as Bama does against LSU in Bama in the last 28 years.
2. Ole Miss - My dad summed them up the very best when he referred to them as "Cornbread Aristocracy."
3. Tulane - Could never find a fan of the school until they beat LSU in something and they come out of the woodwork. Their intense jealousy of LSU and how they always jack up the prices for the LSU game no matter the sport. The Dome was always mostly LSU fans that were basically paying the "Tulane Football Welfare Fee."

I thought Auburn-LSU was supposed to be a rivalry?

It is a rivalry but I don't have a deep-seeded hate for them.
This is how I explain the rivalries in the SEC from my perspective.
The week LSU plays Tennessee, I hate Tennessee. After the game, the hate is over until we play again. Alabama - I hate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year in all things they do.

LSU in the great position to have revolving rivals we can spread our hate around for many teams, the faux tigers, the low tide, the cochon-de-lays (that would be the piggies for you non cajuns). However I think historicaly and for older fans Ole Rebel bear is who we still reserve most of our hate for so feel good about that Ole Miss fans at least one LSU tiger regards you as number one in something.

The Tennessee-LSU games have been incredibly close lately. Unfortunately we have come out on the wrong end most of the time.
