My hate for Auburn is due to fact that their supporters have a completely delusional belief that Auburn is in any way, shape, or form better than the University of Alabama overall. I'm not even talking about the football team. Football is so fluid you can be amazing one year and terrible the next (See Texas 2010). They disregard facts when they go against what they believe. They claim they cheered for Alabama in 2009 and then chastise Alabama fans for cheering against the "almighty SEC". Auburn is the Mississippi St. of Alabama, they may beat us every once in a while but it is still clear which school is the prime institution in the state.
I hate on Auburn a lot but at the end of the day it's clear that Auburn is a good school and is appealing to people who decide to study there. Auburn is better than most schools in the country, I just don't think Alabama is included in that group.
