His problem has been control. He was the Sunday starter for a bit but kept getting into trouble so has mostly been a reliever as of late.

Technically he thought he had tied the game when he did that. I knew the second it happened we would miss the XP

What's the point of only trying to win one game in Hoover? Either rest your team for the NCAAs or play to win the SECT.
The coaches of the national seeded teams all met up the first evening and agreed to dip out together to get extra rest, so that standings don't change; and teams like Ole Miss and Tennessee can go on runs and get hosts.
Everyone but Vandy, of course. Nobody likes to talk to them because of the Whistler.
That's why Texas, Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia all went 1 and done.
But Jay cheated, with his "oh I just wanted to get my 2 starters some work" bit. Doing that basically locked up a win in game 1, so unlike the rest, LSU went 1-1 instead of 0-1.
Meanwhile Vandy is over there flailing away and wearing themselves out, while Ole Miss has to try to convince the committee they are better than Southern Miss.
So actually, it might be to help Ole Miss out. If the Rebs can beat 3 straight national seeds, they might be considered better than the Golden Eagles.

I guess your coaching staff told all your hitters to ground out so yall could go home?
It wasn't the pitchers who lost you the game, you blowhard. It was the fact that you got 2 hits off our guy with a 7.00 ERA and zero hits off our atrocious bullpen. Cope harder.
