That is a relief... bama fans are in charge of the voting. This should be a lock then.

If you go back and check out the last 10 years, you'll find the BCS has been very good to LSU.

You're right. Every team deserves a crystal ball like a participation trophy.

he fans across the country spoke loud and clear today. 81%!

they don't want a rematch for many reasons Bama fans can not comprehend.
I don't think this game will draw the numbers the first one drew. Nearly every comment (from non-SEC) on every article I read after the first game was about how boring the game was or how they flipped channels around 2nd, 3rd quarter. Much of the rest of the country doesn't appreciate great defense.

gets in?

Backlash against who? Even if every SEC fan wanted this to happen, the rest of the country could have voted differently. People need to take it up with the voters if they have a problem. I could see both sides...

If it's the two best teams, then Bama should be in. If you want a conference champ and no rematches, then it's OSU. Either way, LSU always plays their best ball in January.

1) couldnt care less about "backlash". It will be toward system not Bama (though wldnt care if directed at Bama).
2) bcs isnt a fan vote system. It is a system that no LSU fans bitched about in '03 or '07, so why are you so worries about it noe?

Very true, especially when you consider what happened to Auburn in 2004.

If the BCS stays (ie: no playoff), it sorely needs a "+1" format, IMO.

Pair up #1 vs #4, #2 vs #3 in the bowl games... the winners of those two games go to the BCSNC game.

No one, or not many, would argue that their #5 ranked team should have a shot at the NC.

I suspect they will cancel the game.

looks like we need to amend the bcs... the fans enjoyment of defensive games definitely needs to be factored in. Screw the two best teams, we need to figure out what they "want" to watch.

Whatever the percentage is, I bet it's die hard CFB fans that took time to vote

Accurately kept a team who lost to a 6 and 6 Iowa State from being a give-me win to LSU

Sadly that is not the issue. Okie State proved they can put points on the board against a good team. You really believe Bama can win if we play again? You are delusional. It won't happen. No one wants to see Bama get beat again. If that's what it is gonna be #1 vs #2*, then so be it. You will lose twice in the same year to a much better team.

Yes, they have respected the SEC champ almost every year

Just never seen a none SEC champ team get in the National title game

really strange to me

wait. please tell me what special rules apply to alabama? there are several components that make up the bcs formula. which rule has alabama, as a team, broken?

looking forward to your special interpretation of the alabama special rules.

First rule: if you lose to a team who doesnt have a winning record you dont get in over a team who lost to the #1 team in overtime.

Second rule: If your team trys to campaign to play that weak arse team who just lost to a 6 and 6 team then you are ineligible for being a bunch of pussies.
