This is a legit question. The best win on their resume is a struggle win at #13 Penn State. They have played literally no one outside of Penn.

I'll tell you. This way they can hold their spot when either Georgia or Tennessee wins or loses. Its all calculated.

They want to profit off the OSU/Michigan game. They know UGA or UT will fall after this weekend. Then we have another top 4 matchup just like that.

Please lay out a single legit reason for OSU to be above UGA. OP is right. It’s all positioning for future games and playoff scenarios

It doesn’t matter who is 2 or 3. Beat Tenner, Georgia jumps to 1.

They have a better strength of record, strength of schedule, and margin of victory over that schedule than Georgia according to the statistics everyone was using for ranking teams

I gave you the reason

There you go

Liberty wins a lot of games too. Step to the side if you can't provide any deeper logic.

People get so upset over midseason rankings. It’s as if they matter if you have less than 2 losses in the SEC.

I got no problem with whoever is 1/2 between UGA and UT as that will be settled in a few days. OSU above UGA is laughable.

What justifies Alabama being ranked in the top ten?

They lost their only game against a currently ranked team. Penn State is better than anyone Alabama has beaten.

Middle of the road SEC teams could beat every team on their schedule except for Penn State.

Beating everyone they play by an average of 32 points. No close game with Kent State or last minute come from behind victory over mighty Missouri.

Completely agree. When is the last time Ohio State was even competitive with the SEC in a game that mattered? Alabama 2014 with Blake Sims?

Money. They'll rake in a lot of it from that part of the country while Ohio State has 1 or less losses. Ohio State is one of the bread winner schools for college football.

Ummm, a blown loss on the road to the #1 team, plus the best roster in game?
