Funny coming from an Alabama fan. If UA was defending national champs with georgias identical schedule and margins of victory they’d be #1 without a doubt. UGA and OSU are both undefeated and UGA absolutely butchered a top 10 team while OSU struggled with a top 15 team. I value that more than how much they blow out teams they’re way better than.

This is a legit question. The best win on their resume is a struggle win at #13 Penn State. They have played literally no one outside of Penn.

I'll tell you. This way they can hold their spot when either Georgia or Tennessee wins or loses. Its all calculated.

It doesn't really matter. By the time the season is over the top4 teams is always obvious.

As an Alabama fan I learned years ago rankings no longer matter. I have no idea where Alabama is ranked right now, not even kidding.

What I know is that if Alabama wins out, they can win a national championship. If they lose a game, then it's not the year. Everything else is media fluff.

I agree they largely don’t matter right now and their only purpose is to drive future matchup hype and shape the CFP as best they can. Threes not a legit reason to have OSU 2 and UGA 3.

The committee knows every year that Ohio St MUST be in as they have the best shot at knocking off the big bad SEC

Middle of the road SEC teams could beat every team on their schedule except for Penn State.

Okay

But that has nothing to do with what I said

I gave the reason used for the rankings.

So. Like I said, there you go.

Please lay out a single legit reason for OSU to be above UGA.

Strength of Record - Ohio State is 2. UGA is 5.

SOS - Ohio State is 52. UGA is 75.

This is my whole beef with the committee. It needs to be dissolved... P5 winners get in. 3 at large get in (voted by coaches). 8 teams go for it.

Because in the world of college football all States are not created equal…

Penn > Kent

Given roughly similar margins of outcome despite vastly different opponents, it seems pretty clear.

Could they beat Mizzou on the road by more than 1 possession? if yes, they should all be ranked ahead of UGA

Edit: See how stupid that argument sounds now? Probably not to you
