Most known and best may not be the same thing really.
Alabama flew up USNWR law rankings, but the rest of the country probably doesn't look at UA and go "oh yeah, top law school." To be fair, with schools like Alabama and UGA I'm not sure what you pick, because they're just solid all around and may not have anything specific that sticks out to most people.
Growing up, I feel like UGA was known for a good journalism school, good vet school as well. Terry and the law school are strong, but I didn't hear them touted as much. Not sure about Bama.
For AU, I assume most people think vet, engineering or ag, even though undergrad architecture or building science may be our top statistical programs.

I actually have an accounting degree from UM

Education as well...
But I run across more building science alum than anything now. I don't know anybody from the Ag part of it other than a friend of mine who was in Turf Management that ended up as a golf course superintendent.

One of these things is not like the other

I love Alabama grads pretending they are a respectable academic institution

I got a top 10 national degree from Alabama. It's served me and pretty much everyone I graduated with well.
Also, petti is an Auburn grad.

Delegating. We train some of the best at delegating in the country. I once went almost three months without doing a damned thing I was supposed to do as part of my job description by careful delegating.
I don't care if it was unintentional or not. Nice subtle troll of Tennessee.

LSU's accounting program overall isn't as highly rated as the rest of the SEC schools, but we have the #1 internal audit program in the country
LINK
LSU was the first university to implement an audit program. Goldman Sachs, the Big 4, all the major healthcare companies, Exxon, (i could go on and on) recruit LSU students through the program.
We have the #1 landscape architecture program in the country
Randomly we have an elite masters in history I believe
top 5 (maybe top 3?) petroleum engineering, probably a distant 3rd to A&M and Texas.
Other than that we specialize in hiring wife beating, alcoholic football head coaches

PAR is basically the only ranking anyone pays attention to in the Accounting world. It's what schools splash on their literature and their Top 100 is the standard of yearly public firm reviews.
The league is well represented. Tennessee and Auburn generally place somewhere in the Top 25 as well. All have fantastic CPA pass rates. Most Big 4 offices in the East/South are filled with SEC grads rounded out with UT, UNC, UVA and spotted regional schools.
