What is your "respectful" rivalry and your most hated rival?

For me, respectful-wise, it's Georgia.
I don't like them, but I respect them. I wish no ill-will to their fans. I just want them to lose in every sport to every team. That's all. But I still enjoy my time with the fans in Jax and it's a good natured rivalry.
FSU, on the other hand, I hate them and don't respect them at all. I hope bad things to their fans for cheering for such a shitty school. A lot of them are ruthless and just bitter they couldn't get into UF. I made the mistake of dating a FSU chick before too... awful experience. I don't wish on my biggest enemy to even date a FSU chick. They are all the pit. Florida's Second-rate University. Awful.

I respect the fans of every opponent. It's just a game and it is shallow as frick to harbor ill feeling toward folks you don't know because they like a different football team than you do.

I don't have enough passion or energy to "hate" anyone, especially a team. I do kind of hate your posting, but that's about it.

I've always heard that Tennessee-Alabama was considered a rivalry with mutual respect until relatively recently. An example of this was when Neyland said "You never know what a football player is made of until he plays Alabama."
I don't know when exactly it changed, but in the 90s an ESPN sportswriter described it as "the most unhealthy rivalry in sports." It really hit a nadir with the Albert Means scandal and has never returned to what it was.
In the 70s/80s Bama had a rivalry with Penn State that was respectful, but now obviously nobody could or should respect Penn State.
So, I don't think Bama has any respectful rivalries anymore.

I feel like a lot of sidewalk Miami fans have become FSU fans. Seems that ever since they moved to the Dolphins' stadium there has been a shift in loyalty.
It'll be interesting to see the Miami "fans" at our game in 2019 in Orlando though.

Respect - Alabama. Yeah some of their fans are fricking stupid but that's everywhere in the SEC. Their football program's success through the years is astonishing and their fans are diehard and loyal as they come. I definitely respect that. I remember Alabama in the early 2000's and even though they were awful for the most part, BDS was always packed and they always traveled well and they were rabid as can be.
Hate - Florida. Just a god awful shite fan base with no redeeming qualities. They are nothing like Tennessee, Alabama, LSU, Auburn or Georgia fans.
