What is the root cause of Texas A&M’s problems?

No troll, I am genuinely curious. They certainly seemed ready to make the jump yo the big boy table awhile back. What is holding them back?

They thought they could buy a championship team with a bunch of NIL recruits.

I concur. We need to buy him out yesterday.

They think they can simply use booster money to buy a championship.

Why do people do this? They have always been this. This is not something new. A&M couldn’t win with Paul “Bear” Bryant. Not because the bear was a bad coach, but because he was at A&M. Facts

Paying their recruits a bunch of money to play football doesn’t make them want to be a part of the team. They put the cart before the horse in their recruiting tactics. Also,
Jimbo is Les Miles 2.0 in that he can’t keep his hands out of the offense.

A&M's whole history, tradition and culture.

Eternally the angry "little brother" to Texas, to the point that the lyrics of the Aggie War Hymn reflect it.

Just not made to be "big time."

I didn't want to say during the season but have you seen his play calling notes? It's as thick as a fking New York phone book.

His offense is too complex for a QB. That is all it is I assure you.

Should worry about your own program.

Auburn is the epitome of luck.

You either win the SEC or go 3-9, 4-8 like A&M this year

He’s not helping but he is far from their real problem.

Too many egos who fancy themselves as football savants trying to call the shots. Kind of similar to whyDallas cowboys can’t win shite. The “guy in charge” thinks he’s knows football better than anyone but reality is he’s an overinflated, worthless prick with far more money than he ever should have been allowed to have.

Latest scape goat. It’s a culture of posturing without accomplishments. The ridiculous contract is a sign of that but it hardly started with JF.

But they have won it which is far more than A&M fans can say.

A&M is Texas's version of the Island of Misfit Toys. Anybody worth a damn is going to go to UT. Aggies have just always been a little bit off.

Texas has THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. It’s something in the water in Texas that make the men their think they are bigger and badder than they really are and they all get this huge overinflated ego. It’s what happens when people get wealthy without actually ever having to work for any of it.

No one wants to play for this weirdo cult. Money is all they have to offer and that doesn’t make for loyalty or a desire to play hard. The coach and players are bought and paid for and they give minimal effort. They just take the money and give as little effort as possible.
