Well now that's just rude. Quit throwing a BlackCloud on our win last night.
I'm just doing what I do.....

I drop in and make it rain and then I'll check back later and count how many replies and down-votes I got for making the gumps feel a little under the weather. Too easy.
I asked if bama had ever been to the Final Four and got a pile of down-votes immediately.
I'm still chuckling as I logoff to go out with the wife for the rest of the day.

gotta say i like the way he coaches and how his players respond to it. bama's got a good one in him

this is part of the reason why i am very excited for Bama basketball. We don't know what our ceiling is.... We have a lot going for us and look to have a legit coach who may not be looking at his next opportunity. He is well paid/from the south/has the support of the athletic admin. Not sure how far we could take it just yet... But if programs like Witchita state and VCU can make the Final Four, surely we can too. The sec provides a lot of exposure for these kids and the resources at Bama for our athlete are second to none.

Bama is basically the basketball equivalent of Miss. St. football.
3rd most SEC titles
A winning record against LSU by a large margin

That's LSU you are thinking about.

Impossible to say ...I'm excited about him but he's won a few games let's not get carried away. He's no Anthony Grant that's for sure . Hated the way the team played under him.
The boys are at least playing good basketball now and seem to actually like their coach.

If I'm not mistaken, Bama has a winning record against every team in the SEC except UK and Arky... and we'll be .500 vs Arky when the clock strikes 10:00pm March 2. And the record is fairly lopsided vs. LSU. So, LSU must be the equivalent of Vandy football.

Trick question. The ceiling is low because Avery probably won't stick around long enough to build the program. It's not like football; Bama basketball is a stepping stone. If Avery sticks around, there may not be a ceiling, though.

Who's the last coach that left our program for a better one? You know, since we're a stepping stone program.

Alabama third to Kentucky and Arkansas in all-time wins and is second to Kentucky in SEC Championships/Tournament Championships

Yep Nick proved this bit of wisdom.

You know that the tournament wasn't always seeded right? We were ranked #7 going into the 1976 season. Unfortunately, we had to play the #1 team, the Undefeated Indiana team, in the sweet 16. We even led with 2 minutes left until a block/charge call went against us. Bob Knight said we were the best team they played that year. If it was in today's format, we easily could have made the final four.
At the time, Knight actually said we were the best team ANY of his team's had played.
The 1986-87 team was pretty danged good too. Four players from that team went on to have NBA careers.
Michael Ansley (4 NBA seasons)
Jim Farmer (6 NBA seasons)
Keith Askins (9 NBA seasons)
Derrick McKey (15 NBA seasons)
Won both the SEC regular and tournament championships but got bounced in the Sweet 16 by a final 4 bound Providence coached by some kid named Pitino. Still finished 28-5
That's been my favorite Bama team since that season, but I think this 2015-16 bunch going to pass it.....

Best guess is a sweet 16 withing 3 seasons. He is perfect for college. Will trade Anderson and a 4* for him if you like!

Alabama hasn't been to the final four, but we've usually maxed out given our talent.
With all of the talent LSU has had over the years, it's kind of embarrassing that you've never even played for a title. Kind of like this year, where you have the "next Lebron" and you're NIT-bound.

Bama will never be UK or Duke in basketball.
Duke wasn't always DUKE. Coach K made them DUKE.
