I stated elite skill players are needed to compete with the top teams in CFB.
Brian Kelly never had those at Notre Dame, now whether that was his fault or not, we will see going forward.
2018 was kind of a bad example anyway though, that Notre Dame team only had one loss which was to Clemson who ended up beating Alabama just as bad and winning the title.

I never claimed you did. But this all stems from your fan in the post saying that Georgia won the Natty last year with none, zero, nil, elite talent at the skill positions on offense. Which is wrong.

LSU is in a rebuild right now and was picked to win 6 games this year.

It was his first year at a program less than a year removed from playing a wide receiver at quarterback in a bowl game with a team fielding less than forty scholarship players. It was a pretty remarkable job, actually. How did Kirby do in his first year at UGA?

We had above average to good talent but our only elite players were Brock Bowers who is a TE, and Pickens who was injured most of the year.

This thread is about what BK's "best win" is. Looks like the options are 2022 vs. Alabama, 2020* vs. Clemson (the first game, the OT win at home vs. Clemson's backup QB, not the shawshanking ND received in the ACC CG), or his 2009 1 point win @ #15 Pitt to win the Big East championship.

I used a quantitative metric to measure the amount of elite skill position players on 2018 ND's roster.
If the number of skill position players getting paid by an NFL team isn't what you'd like to use, offer an alternative way to measure it.
