What is different about LSU this year?

Admittedly, I haven't seen a single LSU game outside of when they came to Auburn...and loss. My Saturdays are filled with Auburn football, cold beer, grilling and yelling "frick 'BAMA" to the white trash neighbors.
Now that LSU has fired Les Miles and Cam Cameron, what is different about this team and what makes them able to take down Alabama?
Convince me, LSU fans.
Things I know:
1) best running backs in the SEC
2) talented secondary
3) SEC leader in sacks (Arden Key)
4) Malachi Dupree has the dropsies
5) undefeated since firing Les Miles

Probably the main difference is the fan delusion level is higher. What other fanbase could think they were now the best team in the country with the following evidence?
You fired your best/most successful coach ever
You replaced him with Ed Orgeron
You scored against 2 god awful defenses and a sunbelt team
Throw in the fact that bama is superior to lsu in every major statistical category on offense and defense across 8 games, while having played a significantly harder schedule
Seems like a lock to beat what might be the best college football coach's best overall team

They have a backup Purdue QB

I think getting off of page 1 of the offensive playbook has helped.

post miles:
we now use the TE.
we roll out and hit the underneath routes instead of throwing 30+ every fricking time
we run out of different formations so as to NOT let the D know to "stack" the fricking box

Well, if we WEREN'T different, why would Alabama blow us out? Of Saban's three wins in BR, two were in OT and one was on a last minute TD that caused Nick Saban to actually celebrate (more than I've seen him celebrate in any of the title game wins) and AJ McCarron to cry.

Anyone who says there haven't been real changes made is delusional.
If you know nothing more than how to count WRs on the field the change is obvious.
Now we really haven't played anyone, but at the same time, out offense looked like shite vs MSU and Jacksonville State before the coaching change. That fact that we don't look like shite now, even against other shitty teams is what makes us think that maybe out offense is actually better.
