Instead of Timmy Tebow in 2007? I understand that TT had one of the best careers for a QB ever, but Cam had the best season ever at Auburn before Burrow's last season and he did that with much less talent around him than TT (or Burrow). Tebow has one of the ugliest throwing motions and was inconsistent past 15 yds. Florida might have had three straight undefeated seasons before Cam went pro. Thank God it didn't happen, but I have to wonder what Meyer was thinking

Then Auburn Family wouldn’t have a NC since it’s probation tainted 1957 title.

I would love your perspective on this as an astute Florida alum.

The team would have fallen apart, Jesus Tebow kept those literal thugs (and murderer) from killing everybody!

Tebow does not get enough credit for keeping the team from self-imploding.

it wasn't just Tebow. Brandon Spikes was as responsible as well as some of the asst coaches.

Wouldn’t he have been suspended for stealing laptops? So Tebow would have started anyway?

Their TE murdered somebody. Buying a stolen laptop was barely a blip on the radar.

Tebow threw the ball fine for the college game. He was also a much better player at that time, I don’t remember anyone questioning that decision.

Tebow does not get enough credit for keeping the team from self-imploding

Typical bullshyt azz response from someone that feeds on Broadcaster Propaganda and uses that to shape his idiotic views of how big time Sports actually work

What a delusional, bullshyt take

The idea that these players are undisciplined, idiot, thugs that somehow need a lesser talented, but gritty white guy that possesses the critical yet loosely defined and in many cases undefined, "leadership skills" that somehow wrangle undisciplined & savage majority Black players into a cohesive Team is an utter load of bullshyt

You can always tell the folks that never played Sports at a decent level, or is weak minded and believes the garbage that broadcasters spew

Newsflash, those guys that played with Tebow had their own personal goals, they also wanted to win Games

How do I know, because anyone that played FB at at least the HS level knows that FB is crappy game and the only thing that removes the crappy experience is winning, in FB it's win or nothing else

Those guys that played with Tebow also wanted to win a Conf Title and a MNC, they also wanted to go to the NFL, to act as if the rest of the Team was a rudderless ship that only won because Tebow screamed his lungs out til his voice cracked and that is what rallied the undisciplined segments of the Team to pursue perfection is laughable

Only idiots think that the halftime speech that ESPN had on constant replay was the reason that Florida came back and won and saved their season

My HS FB coach taught me that the only leadership in Sports is to make a fvcking play when the time arises, if you aren't making plays, then after a while your leadership comes across as cheerleading

Look no further than the Pats in the NFL. Belichick teaches his guys to "do your Job", simple yet effective, rarely do you see Brady doing all that rah-rah bullshyt that Tebow did at Florida, he simply works his azz off sets the example and expects his Team to do the same

Just like Saban's "the process", go out and execute 100 snaps as perfect as you possibly can and the scoreboard will take care of itself and silly rah-rah bullshyt from guys like Tebow won't be needed

Try watching a CFB Game with no sound on and just look at every play and comment to yourself what you think you saw on each play, after doing that you'll realize how much bullshyt propaganda is downloaded into your consciousness by broadcasters that do nothing but spew trite stereotypes about Sports, society, class, and other things

In summary, $Cam was a much better QB than Tebow, he would have made many more critical plays, the Team likely scores many more points and they likely win 3 straight SEC CGs and 3 straight MNCs, $Cam would have been a better leader because he would have made more plays than Tebow

Stopped reading after you suggested Tebow wasn't a leader.

Tebow wasn't asked to throw beyond 15 yds or so very often. He could but some seam routes but that was about it

Who knew Uncle Rico was a racist? Learn something new every day.

ETA: You're Uncle Rico here since you are so enamored with your football "career" that lasted through HS. I know you're slow, so I figured I better explain.

Right, but is there any doubt that Cam would've given them the ability to stretch the field vertically much more than TT? It could've meant the difference between 3 NCs and 2 (both of which came with losses). The talent on 2010 Auburn offense was FCS compared to Florida 2007-09. It's like how Meyer stubbornly kept JT Barrett as starter over Haskins or Burrow

You mean, the year Tebow won the Heisman?

Why would any one entertain this scenario?

Tebow played the game he was asked to and at the end of the day he's in the top 5 in SEC history for yards per attempt, passing completion %, passing efficiency and passing TD's. As I said, he was perfectly competent as a thrower of the ball in the college game.

Tebow had one of the greatest seasons in college football history in 2007. There was nothing anyone was doing offensively for that team to lead them to a title.
