He isn't even the best college running back of all time, much less best football player.

But the dude is legit really good. Props to him so far.

Probably, I mean the "would we even know" caveat works when a player is on some scrub team and thus is dragged down by his team mates (see: Calvin Johnson somehow still being dominant even with Reggie Ball chucking rocks at him), or he rides the bench due to Seniority (see: Barry Sanders only starting one year and having the greatest season of all time). Fournette plays at LSU.

Buga really needs to step it up if he wants to be on Barry Sanders 1988 level.

HAHAHA I cant believe people think LF can be compared to AP. Anybody remember APs freshman and sophomore seasons? on another level than LFs first two years.

Fournette has 631 yds rushing in just 3 games and didn't even play the whole 4th qtr against Auburn and had first game cancelled so there's no telling how many yards he would already have right now if he would've played the first game. Has more yards in first 3 games than any RB in college history. Fournette runs over and around defenders all game long. He averages nearly a 1st down every carry. Sorry but Fournette is gonna beat AP in rushing yds and TDs this year. Deal with it.

You do realize we are in LF's current sophomore season and he has over 600 yards in 3 games, right?

He may not be AP yet, but it's a fair comparison. And plenty of folks who know more than you and I combined agree.

What if LF is three games in to his sophomore year. Why does it even matter.

AP's freshman season was incredible and no player will have numbers like that again in thier first year. But LF had over 1,000 yards and he wasn't even the starting back. He is on pace to do some pretty special things, not just on the school level but on a national level. To think that you can't compare one special RB to another is foolish.

I remember A&M breaking his damn leg. Is that what you're talking about?
