1. We're top 15 in wins and win percentage.
- Mississippi State has more all-time wins than FSU. Does that make them a better program or have they just been around longer?

2. We haven't always had these benefits, you dumbfrick.
- They’ve always had the Houston base right there. If you’re saying that FSU is poor and has shitty facilities then why have they managed to win championships since 1939?

All those have had pretty good runs in their past.

TCU has 10 top 10 seasons and a national championship
SMU has 6 top 10 seasons
UH has 5 top 10 seasons

Compare them to Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Mississippi St, Kentucky, Tulane, etc.

How different is it?

There wasn't a LSU, Bama, TN, AU, UGA or UF on the schedule. It is not hard to play a two game schedule and build up wins.

PS Look at what Ole Miss did in the 50s and 60s.

Maybe Jimbo was just good when the ACC was a one team league and he was the head coach of that team.

While some people can argue whether Jimbo is elite, great, or good as a HC, it cannot be argued that he went from a weak conference and division, to the hardest division in the hardest conference.

The ACC Atlantic is far from weak. It isn't the SECW, but what is? I compared Jimbo's SOS at FSU to A&M's at the same time. Their rank was like 18th vs 22nd. Harder, sure? But its a lot smaller deal than people make it out to be.

LSU deal was real but Sexton drove up the price too much, only A&M was willing to bite on that salary.
The only coach worth that kind of money is Saban.

There's only one other school in the ACC that was on FSU's level: Clemson, and they've had FSU's number the last three years. Louisville and Miami are not what they should be. That's about it for the ACC.

FSU does a pretty good job of getting some good OOC matchups scheduled, plus they play UF every year which helps their SOS some, too (in theory ). But otherwise, there's just no comparison to the SECW.

Holy shite.... is this what y'all have resorted to telling yourselves? Outside of Clemson and Miami, FSU didn't face a defense in the ACC ranked in the top 50. This year he will be facing Bama, LSU, State and Auburn who will all be in the top 10-15 throughout the year plus Clemson. All with the wrong personnel to run his offense. It's going to get much uglier before it gets better but y'all better hope he gets a 1st round pick at QB or you're staring down 4 loss seasons just like always at the tune of $10 mil per year. I hated when LSU was trying to go after him and Aggy shouldn't be too thrilled either. Jimbo's best days are behind him with Capt. Crab legs.

The SEC is 27-28 vs the ACC since 2013.

Gainesville has the most white trash of any of the Florida cities. That’s saying something. And FSU women >>> UF women.

10 of those wins were in 2016 which wasn't the greatest in the SEC. All of those other years just prove how top heave that conference really is. A lot of FSU and Clemson with a little Louisville and Ga. Tech thrown in there. You can keep trying to trick yourself into believing Jimbo won't struggle in this division but as a fan of a school that has recruited pretty well and still struggled I say good luck with that.

Yes, there will obviously be struggles. Yes, he's moving to a tougher division/conference. But, it's not like he was in the B10 West.

I read somewhere he wanted facilities upgrades and he also wanted more pay for his staff and he had a hard time getting both.

FSU's sports programs actually yield a net loss, so they're in no rush to start redoing their facilities. I think they were in the hole for a lot last year.

I think Fisher will be pretty happy at A&M. You talk about starved for success - the fans at the school are a little bit nuts. IF he wins, they will build a damned statue for him. Also, I think his pro-style offense is exactly what A&M fans want these days, as many just want a good defense again. The Wrecking Crew is what made Kyle Field a special experience, and it has been missing for some time

Also, facilities are already built, recruiting is at least on par with that in Florida, and in Texas he is the only HC coach with SEC affiliation. Sure, the schedule is hard, but he's being paid tons of money to coach and recruit

And from a PR standpoint with the media, the guy is an absolute gem. There is no doubt he knows the game of football. Just listening to a press conference with him versus either Sumlin, or Herman for that matter, is refreshing

Taggert is used to Oregon's facilities. The FSU boosters had to make promises to get him to come, kind of like A&M did years ago with another spread coach

I know Taggert is a strong recruiter, but how they did they fall up when he left?
