There’s not a one of them who wouldn’t have speculated that maybe putting Bama is was the better choice. Why? So that when FSU got stomped they could say “remember when I posed this question on my show….,”

A one loss SEC champion getting shut out of a 4 team playoff would be a joke. Particularly one with a very strong strength of schedule, who had just knocked off the undisputed no. 1, and whose only loss was to a top 5 team.
So yeah, I would have been aggravated. Though the SECC win over UGA and breaking their streak are the best things Bama will do this year, even if we win it all.

Who cares. It was wrong to snub a team P5 conference championship when they won every game on their schedule. You can argue SOS, signature wins, 4 best teams, etc… it’s all BS (Washington is NOT one of the best 4 teams btw)… they got snubbed because Travis was injured. SOS would not have mattered if Travis were healthy. They were talked up the entire season. Their best player went down but they still won the championship with a 3rd string QB who isn’t playing again, and didn’t need 2 miracles to beat their conference rival with their second string QB who is coming back, they were more deserving.
Committee can hide behind SOS, coaching staff, “this isn’t the same team” all they want. I don’t even think it’s Bama bias. But I think people who say SOS and “pick the best 4 teams” are idiots.

Washington vs. FSU would be a good close game and a toss-up in Vegas, although a little weaker than the other play-in game
Michigan vs. Texas would also be a good game and a toss-up in Vegas
No matter which two advance it would probably be a good game in the final, although the winner of Michigan/Texas would be favored slightly

Sure we would be mad. Bama is undoubtedly one of the four best teams and the stated goal of the playoffs is to put the four best teams in.
I understand why FSU fans aren’t happy, but I think the right decision was made.

If you look at it from a G5 fan's perspective, Troy gets more mileage by not playing AU/UA.
FSU has a story forever and in their mind, they would of won it all if only they weren't cheated.

I agree. Also, I am sure the committee was trying to avoid another 65-7 game. TCU was in last year because the committe felt they HAD to select them and it was a damn disaster.
