What happens when these laws to allow players to get paid collides with Title IX?

Pretty simple question. What happens when college football players are allowed to make money off their likeness and then the women’s field hockey team or whatever demands their players receive the same amount of money? I know it’s not economically feasible. But that won’t stop them from suing. Just my opinion but I think they’re opening a whole can of worms here.

The broads will definitely sue. Get ready

Since when has that stopped them?
They have no concept of reality or logic.

That's what they want actually.

The law would also allow the women’s field
hockey team to profit off their likeness. A private contract with a company using likeness wouldn’t be a Title IX issue because the school isn’t the one paying them:

I could be wrong, but I feel like title IX would only apply if the money was coming from a public source. To me, all this law does is make it acceptable for private money to sponsor players.
I think if the money was coming from the schools it would be different. But, I'm no expert, so could be wrong.

Are they aware of what they want? Or are simply out to destroy what they don’t have?

Then I guess they’ll ruin college football in the same way they ruined college baseball

They are allowed to make money off of their likeness too. The law is equal for everyone... If nobody wants to pay them to use their likeness, then there really is no argument to be made.

Hardly the first to bring this up, and "they" are well aware of the firestorm that are about to unleash on amateur sports.
...and that is the goal. To burn it all down which is what "they" are doing. All these arbitrary, ridiculous "rules" setup by a bunch of know nothing nerds.
These are the same people who are pushing men playing as women into female sports. Notice it is never the other direction. Odd huh?
These are the same "they" that totally destroyed the Boy Scouts.
It will take about a decade, but enjoy it while it lasts. They always overreach though, and there will eventually be a painful push back for it to return.

Except the student athletes won't be employees of the schools and the schools won't be paying them. Everything that happens will be the student athlete working 1 on 1 with sponsors willing to pay the athletes directly for their image/name/likeness.
Therefore, title IX won't apply as it doesn't represent "financial aid" as described in Title IX.

Oh really? The US women's soccer team got a solid month of free, unchallenged press arguing that very point. Also if you dare to argue, you hate gay people. Way to go Hitler.

Yes. But you and I both know they won’t be able to make the same money as the football or basketball players.

You don’t think the school will have to pay them? Have you never been to a college football game? Schools use their players’ likeness on all sorts of things from game programs to promotional displays. Of course the schools will have to pay them.

Profiting from your likeness has no effect on title 9. The athletes won’t be getting paid from the school, it will be from 3rd party’s. Literally just like it is now just above board. If the school isn’t giving money title 9 doesn’t matter.

They do pay them. It's called Scholarship and cost of attendance money. You simply write the language into the financial aid agreement each student athlete must sign to attend. It's within the new laws, NCAA guidelines and Title IX.

They didn’t kill college baseball, the product just sucks. Baseball isn’t as popular.

Lawyer J. Noble Daggett of Dardanelle, Arkansas may think otherwise -- as might a jury, petitioned by a widow and three small children.

Not how it’s going to work. They won’t get paid for being in a school football program.
